The Application Specialist for Beckman Coulter Diagnostics is responsible for implementing and providing technical application, training and marketing support pre-sales and post-sales work, to direct and channel partner operations.

You will be a part of the Beckman Coulter Malaysia Diagnostics team and report to the Application Supervisor responsible for providing applications support to pre-sales and post-sales activities. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:
Provide the pre-sales and post-sales support for Diagnostic products to achieve the sales and profit goals in Malaysia market
Conduct customer training, instrument performance evaluation and troubleshooting
Provide support on product, technical and application issues
Facilitate the dissemination of tech application and marketing info to the direct and channel partner team
Plan, coordinate and monitor the execution of certain technical implementation, e.g. reagent reformulation updates, software upgrades, product corrections, etc.
Assist sales team in product demonstration and promotion and sales tools development
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor or above in Biomedical Science or related subject
Previous experience in a clinical laboratory or related commercial field in the same capacity in an international organization.
Strong logical thinking capability and analytical skills;
High level integrity and commitment to work and self-initiative;
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:
Ability to travel – 40% travel within Malaysia
Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
Proficiency in English and Malay. Additional language skills are a plus.
It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:
Clinical Chemistry, Immunology and Lab Automation

Summary:
The Cash Application Specialist is responsible for processing electronic and manual payments in multiple currencies and applying them to appropriate accounts, initiating auto cash runs, problem resolution and processing of automation exceptions around the remittance and cash application functions.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Retrieve EFT, ACH payment information received and input and process remittances against customer accounts and invoices
- Run/monitor the auto cash application routines
- Accurately balance deposits received and accounts receivable in the ERP
- Identify short-pays or discounts taken and request credit notes if applicable
- Apply and record “unapplied cash” to customer accounts and monitor unapplied cash levels
- Collaborate with the Customer or the Accounts Receivable team as necessary to ensure cash is appropriately applied to open invoices
- Resolve issues associated with cash posting by working with both external and internal parties
- Manage banking relationships for specific countries or customer groups within the area of responsibility, and collaboratively with the Treasury team responsible for banking relationships
- Partner with Accounts Receivable and Customers to improve the information detail and quality of remittance advices to increase cash application accuracy
- Develop an understanding of the technologies involved in the end to end process, and identify opportunities for improvement
- Monitor cash application errors and automation exceptions and work with the Cash Application Team Lead and IT partners to eradicate the root cause of errors and improve the automation level of the cash application process
- Facilitate any refunds due to client through ERP
- Keep up to date and develop process specific competencies and technical skills
- Support the continuous improvement projects as assigned by the Cash Application Team Lead
Qualifications:
- Great communication skills

Education & Experience:
- Bachelor degree in Finance or Accounting

- Experienced user of JDE and C2C Technology Cash Application module (ideal)
- Prior experience with ERP, cash application automation solutions preferred

You are responsible for
As a Clinical Specialist, you will be responsible for developing and executing instruction programs for users to maximize their independence in operating the system and functions. You will customize the system to meet the specific needs of users, working closely with project and account management to maximize performance. Additionally, you will handle trial installations, monitor system usage, solve operational issues, and adapt systems based on user feedback. This role also involves conducting demonstrations and presentations to boost sales, staying updated with product developments, and contributing to the development of new functionalities or improved system settings.
Sales support
- Assess customer training and education needs.
- Plan learning activities based on customer needs.
- Perform configuration of hospital patient monitoring products and solutions.
- Deliver customer training and provide go-live support.
- Provide services in accordance with the scope of the engagement.
- Apply adult learning principles in training and education delivery.
- Utilize various learning methods and authorized training tools.
- Maintain records in accordance with established procedures.
- Work with the installation team to ensure the clinical accuracy of installed systems.
- Demonstrate knowledge and clinical competence with patient monitoring products and solutions.
- Understand clinical workflow within the area of practice.
- Provide pre-sales clinical and application expertise for the sales team.
- Stay current on product, services, IT, and industry trends to offer best-in-class education for customers.
To succeed in this role, you’ll need a customer-first attitude and the following
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Degree-level education or equivalent.
- In-depth knowledge and experience with Philips patient monitoring products in the clinical environment.
- At least 5 years of experience in the clinical and/or medical informatics field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skill
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in providing post-sales clinical application training to end-users, technicians, and operators.
- Experience in providing pre-sales support through product demonstrations, seminars, and trade shows.
- Ability to work as part of an account team to meet modality results according to account plans and targets.
- Experience in retraining hospital staff on new product releases, upgrades, or changes in operating procedures.
- Ability to provide applications reports on the completion of all application visits.
- Experience conducting regular visits to customers to obtain feedback on training delivery and customer satisfaction.
- A willingness to support application training in the region as required.
