Purpose Statement

Application Analysts provide Customer Service Excellence by helping customers resolve issues in a timely manner, driving to root cause prevention, maintaining core applications for availability and performance, providing conceptual design expertise, owning the application lifecycle (patching, upgrades, security updates), and managing relationships with key third-party software suppliers.

We are looking for a technically capable and adaptable Application Support Analyst to support and optimize the systems, tooling and processes that power our actuarial end to end platform. This role works across cloud platforms (Azure and GCP ) and partners closely with actuarial and data teams to improve integration, automation, and the overall technology ecosystem.

Prior experience with actuarial modeling systems (e.g., Pathwise, Prophet) or data-related tools (e.g. Databricks, Collibra, Unify) is an advantage but not required .

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Actuarial, Data, and Technology stakeholders to understand process needs and co-develop effective solutions.
  • Support and enhance the actuarial system and tooling used by actuarial teams, ensuring usability, stability, and performance.
  • Assist with integration and configuration of tooling such as Unify, Collibra, and Databricks in a cloud environment.
  • Enable use of actuarial modeling systems like Pathwise and Prophet within Azure and GCP platforms.
  • Contribute to systems and tooling documentation, troubleshooting, user support, and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Learn and adopt new technologies and tools aligned with actuarial domain requirements.


Requirements

  • Ideally 6 to 8 years’ experience in system implementation/support
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms, especially Microsoft Azure and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and learning mindset, with the ability to pick up new technologies quickly.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, multi-tool environment.


Good To Have

  • Experience with actuarial modeling software implementations is advantageous.
  • Exposure to tools such as Databricks, Collibra, Unify, or similar platforms is a plus, not mandatory.
  • Basic scripting knowledge (e.g., PowerShell) is a plus.
  • Experience in insurance, financial services, or working with actuarial or risk teams is a plus.
  • Cloud certifications (e.g., Azure Fundamentals, GCP Associate Cloud Engineer) are a bonus.

Role Summary

The Manager, Digital Support provides leadership to the application support team and ensures stable and responsive digital operations across the enterprise. This role oversees support planning, escalated issue resolution, system monitoring, vendor coordination, and process optimization. The Manager plays a key role in guiding both people and processes to deliver efficient, consistent, and business-aligned application support services. Key Responsibilities

Support Operations & Team Leadership

  • Lead day-to-day operations of the Digital Support team including Executive and Assistant Manager levels.
  • Manage workload distribution, SLA enforcement, and performance evaluation.
  • Ensure escalated issues are addressed efficiently and documented accurately.

Support Planning, Standards & Execution

  • Define and enforce consistent support procedures, escalation protocols, and communication standards.
  • Lead incident reviews, trend analysis, and knowledge-sharing activities to minimize recurring issues.

Application Monitoring & Problem Resolution

  • Monitor key system health indicators and ensure timely execution of preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Analyze and resolve critical incidents, identifying root causes and initiating long-term corrective actions.

Project Rollout & Change Support

  • Oversee team involvement in UAT, guide deployment readiness, and review training or support materials.
  • Ensure changes are well communicated to users and user training is delivered effectively.

Team Management & Development

  • Manage day-to-day performance and engagement of the digital support team.
  • Identify skill gaps and coordinate training, coaching, and on-the-job development activities.
  • Promote collaboration, knowledge sharing, and a continuous improvement mindset within the team.

Cross-Functional & Vendor Collaboration

  • Serve as the primary liaison for business users, project stakeholders, and external vendors.
  • Track vendor service levels, review fixes, and coordinate the implementation of system improvements.

Reporting, Documentation & Compliance

  • Review and validate monthly support dashboards, issue logs, and compliance documentation.

Salesforce Application Support Analyst
  1. As a Salesforce Application Support Analyst within our Application Management Services team, you will support Business-As-Usual (BAU) activities and contribute to strategic initiatives led by senior team members.
  2. This role requires a proactive team player capable of contributing, coordinating, and identifying opportunities for system improvements.
Responsibilities:
  1. Coordinate and contribute to Level 2 and Level 3 support activities, troubleshoot issues, escalate when necessary, and ensure minimal disruption to business operations.
  2. Design, develop, and implement complex Salesforce solutions, automation, and integrations aligned with business goals.
  3. Optimize Salesforce functionality by evaluating new features, implementing best practices, and participating in system upgrades and enhancements.
  4. Stay current with Salesforce releases, features, and industry best practices; recommend and implement improvements to maximize platform value.
  5. Design and develop automation workflows using Salesforce Lightning flows to streamline business processes.

Qualifications:

Salesforce Application Support Analyst

As a Salesforce Application Support Analyst within our Application Management Services team, you will support Business-As-Usual (BAU) activities and contribute to strategic initiatives led by senior team members.

This role requires a proactive team player capable of contributing, coordinating, and identifying opportunities for system improvements.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate and contribute to Level 2 and Level 3 support activities, troubleshoot issues, escalate when necessary, and ensure minimal disruption to business operations.

Design, develop, and implement complex Salesforce solutions, automation, and integrations aligned with business goals.

Optimize Salesforce functionality by evaluating new features, implementing best practices, and participating in system upgrades and enhancements.

Stay current with Salesforce releases, features, and industry best practices; recommend and implement improvements to maximize platform value.

Design and develop automation workflows using Salesforce Lightning flows to streamline business processes.

Support workflows using tools like ServiceNow, ensuring efficient incident and change management processes.

Qualifications:

Degree in Computer Science with 2-3 years of hands-on Salesforce support experience, with a proven ability to lead solutions and drive initiatives independently.

Experience with Lightning, automation, integrations, and evaluating and implementing AppExchange solutions and third-party integrations.

Familiarity with ITIL standards, incident management, and change control processes.

Preferred Attributes:

Flexible work approach, including some weekend/public holiday work and on-call duties.

Support for Pacific work hours to assist Australia/New Zealand operations.

Salesforce Administrator Certification.

Role Summary The Manager, Digital Support provides leadership to the application support team and ensures stable and responsive digital operations across the enterprise. This role oversees support planning, escalated issue resolution, system monitoring, vendor coordination, and process optimization. Additionally, the Manager plays a key role in project enablement and change management by guiding rollout readiness, overseeing UAT coordination, and supporting user adoption. Through cross-functional collaboration and process optimization, the Manager ensures stable system performance and a high standard of user support. Key Responsibilities Support Operations & Team Leadership Lead day-to-day operations of the Digital Support team including Executive and Assistant Manager levels. Manage workload distribution, SLA enforcement, and performance evaluation. Ensure escalated issues are addressed efficiently and documented accurately. Support Planning, Standards & Execution Define and enforce consistent support procedures, escalation protocols, and communication standards. Lead incident reviews, trend analysis, and knowledge-sharing activities to minimize recurring issues. Application Monitoring & Problem Resolution Monitor key system health indicators and ensure timely execution of preventive maintenance tasks. Analyze and resolve critical incidents, identifying root causes and initiating long-term corrective actions. Project Rollout & Change Support Oversee team involvement in UAT, guide deployment readiness, and review training or support materials. Ensure changes are well communicated to users and user training is delivered effectively. Team Management & Development Manage day-to-day performance and engagement of the digital support team. Identify skill gaps and coordinate training, coaching, and on-the-job development activities. Promote collaboration, knowledge sharing, and a continuous improvement mindset within the team. Cross-Functional & Vendor Collaboration Serve as the primary liaison for business users, project stakeholders, and external vendors. Track vendor service levels, review fixes, and coordinate the implementation of system improvements. Reporting, Documentation & Compliance Review and validate monthly support dashboards, issue logs, and compliance documentation.
