What you’ll be doing
As an Analytics Engineer at Rotate, you'll help lay the data foundation for our products and client insights. Your role combines elements of data engineering and analysis, focusing on designing, building, and maintaining data infrastructures to enable high-quality, usable data for analysis and decision-making
Specifically, you will:
· Develop and maintain scalable data models that powers our webapp and analytical tools.
· Design and implement data pipelines that ingest and transform large volumes of data from various sources.
· Translate business questions into data logic, ensuring products are tailored to client needs.
· Work with cloud technologies (e.g., AWS, Databricks) to deploy and manage data infrastructure.
· Process and organize both structured and unstructured data, ensuring quality, reliability, and accessibility.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to plan data architecture and integrate workflows into our broader platform.
· Investigate trends, perform ad-hoc analysis, and generate insights that guide client decisions.
· Contribute to internal data standards, documentation, and best practices for analytics and engineering.
What you’ll need

A technical/quantitative degree or a similar educational background.
3+ years of experience in extraction, transformation and loading data in a modern data management infrastructure.
Hands-on experience with modern data tools (E.g: Databricks, Airflow or similar)
Proficiency in Python and SQL.
Strong analytical skills and experience delivering insights from data
You are excited about working with the latest technologies in data modelling, data warehousing and cloud technology.
Preferably, you have some knowledge around the Hadoop ecosystem, Databricks and Apache Spark.
You are curious, proactive and feel at ease in an informal and professional setting where you get a lot of freedom and responsibility.

ROLE PURPOSE
Manage and supervise climate data projects and initiatives which includes advocacy with stakeholders, data sourcing, climate analytics, and contributions to JC3 and NGFS to address the climate and environmental data gaps, for purposes of managing climate and environment-related risks within the Bank and financial sector.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
Advocacy
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including ministries, government agencies, financial institutions, regulators, and industry bodies, to advocate for the importance of open climate data and contribute to improve national climate data compilation.
- Collaboration with Industry Groups: Represent the organisation in industry forums, working groups, and task forces, including JC3 and NGFS, in addressing climate data gaps.
Data Sourcing
- Identification of Data Needs: Identify and prioritise climate and environmental data needs in collaboration with cross-functional teams, focusing on data that is critical for managing climate risks within the financial sector.
- Data Acquisition: Source and acquire relevant climate-related data from various internal and external sources, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and reliability.
- Data Management: Provide or maintain databases/system that store and process climate-related data, ensuring accessibility to the Bank’s internal users and for Data Catalogue and certain databases, provide access to financial sector
Supports/Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
- Implementation of Bank’s Policy/Framework - Collaborate and support the line departments in the implementation of the Bank’s policy and framework such as Climate Risk Stress Testing (CRST), Climate Risk Management and Scenario Analysis (CRMSA) and Climate Change and Principle based Taxonomy (CCPT) particularly on the data needs and consultation such as flood modeling GHG emissions mapping.
Climate Analytics
- Plan, manage and execute the development and delivery of climate analytics data products such as libraries and spreadsheet tools (e.g. downscaled version of global climate resources to national level resources, flood maps, sectoral mini database for insurance/takaful, green finance and investment, energy and electricity, correspondence table for related standards such as IPCC and ISIC).
- Plan and drive and execute efforts with line departments on their climate analytical needs, including but not limited to – data understanding (e.g. using machine learning (ML) or natural language processing (NLP) to assess firm’s climate related disclosures), big data processing (e.g. satellite remote sensing), geospatial analytics (e.g. spatial analysis of physical and nature risk) and futuretooling (e.g. tool for physical risk assessment).
Contribution to JC3 and NGFS
- Perform Secretariat role to support JC3 Sub-committee 5 (Bridging Data Gaps) to achieve its mandate to improve climate data availability, accessibility and comparability.
- Develop, maintain JC3 Climate Data Catalogue and carry out outreach programs to create awareness and promote usage.
- Represent the Bank in NGFS data-related initiatives and support Director who is co-chairing the Expert Network on Data.
- Contribute to data-related areas in relevant initiatives, working group, forums on climate change that the Bank organises or has been invited to participate in.
Provide coaching and feedback to staff and identify training opportunities to help them develop their potential and further enhance their productivity. Plan and allocate appropriate resources based on the work volume to ensure fair distribution of work amongst officers in the Unit.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Academic qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, Climate Studies, Data Science, Economics, Finance, Statistics or any related field.
- Experience: At least 5 years of working experience in data analytics within the financial sector or related fields.
- Experience in climate risk management, sustainability or environmental policy, climate-related projects or initiatives, particularly those involving data analysis or stakeholder engagement is an advantage.

Key Accountabilities
- Support operational & strategic billing & pricing cycle activities.
- Troubleshoot and identify root cause of pricing data issue and get it resolved with relevant teams: Procurement, Finance, Logistics, etc.
- Develop and implement strategies to recover costs associated with pricing gaps, such as overpayments or incorrect charges. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders regarding pricing discrepancies and cost recovery efforts.
- Drive & lead enhancement projects to billing & pricing processes to improve efficiency and accuracy. Support future development & evolution of the Purchasing Information Records system.

- Contribute to the Master Data Management initiative by ensuring the consistency, completeness, and correctness of Purchasing Information Records across all systems.

- Develop a data-driven culture in procurement by educating procurement colleagues and other stakeholders on master data management.
- University degree or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology, Finance, Supply chain or other related field.

This role will be part of Group-Wide Information Security team under Security metrics and Analytics function with primarily responsibility of developing and implementing in-house-driven data analytics and security automation program that are aimed to strengthen the overall information security control capabilities through automated discovery of measurable security risks, automated orchestration of risk reduction exercise and visualization of reduction of risks / risk exposures. The scopes of the automation opportunities cover all aspects of information security such as, but not limited to: data security, vulnerabilities management, network security, threats analysis and software development.
To be successful in this role, candidate must have strong passion in both IT security through automation and Machine learning / data analytics programming using Python, Keras and Tensorflow.
We are seeking a highly motivated Cloud Analytics Engineer to join our Cloud Economics and Intelligence team under Group Technology Infrastructure Engineering organization. This role blends data engineering, analytics, and emerging AI technologies to drive insights and build intelligent systems that optimize cloud investments and business outcomes.
You will work mostly on Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks-based data pipelines, develop analytical models, and contribute to Gen-AI agentic chatbot / LLM initiatives to improve operational efficiencies and internal use cases.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and optimize data pipelines and analytics workflows using Azure Databricks, Spark, and Delta Lake.
- Develop and operational support of data pipelines, workflows and scheduler, Airflow DAGS, data schemas/tables that feeds into dashboards, reports, and data models to support cloud cost optimization and economic operational stability.
- Collaborate with AI/ML engineers to integrate Gen-AI capabilities into analytics tools and chatbots or forecasting.
- Contribute to the development of agentic AI chatbots for internal use cases (e.g., cloud cost Q&A, forecasting assistants).
- Ensure data quality, governance, and performance across our data pipelines and analytics platform.
- Translate business requirements into scalable data and AI solutions.
Required Skills & Experience:
- 4+ years of experience in data engineering, data analytics, with at least 2 years in a cloud environment (Azure & GCP).
- Proficiency in Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, PySpark, and SQL, GCP Cloud functions, BigQuery.
- Proficiency of CI/CD, version control (GitHub, Azure DevOps), development of best practices, standards, and guidelines.
- Strong programming skills in Python for data extraction, manipulation and automation.
- Experience in the support of containerization services (Kubernetes) and infrastructure provisioning services using Terraform.
- Exposure to Azure bot service, generative AI and agentic chatbot frameworks (e.g. LangChain, Mosaic AI, MS AutoGen)
- Familiarity with LLMs, embeddings, and prompt engineering preferred.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g. Power BI) and MS Fabric pipelines is a plus
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Highly self-driven, demonstrate critical thinking, team player & fast learner.
- Strong analytical/problem solving skills, with the ability to work independently and effectively as a team.
