Job Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; Chartered Accountant is a plus.
  • At least 5 years of industry experience in budgeting, planning, financial modeling, and decision analytics.
  • Strong skills in financial modeling and analysis.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial software like NetSuite.
  • Financial and business acumen.

Your Day-to-Day

  • Forecast loan disbursement, repayment, and receivables growth for Hire Purchase and Dealer Financing.
  • Model interest income, funding cost, net interest margin, and provisioning impact for P&L and cash flow.
  • Run 5-year (or long term) financial simulations (disbursement, portfolio, revenue, cost) in collaboration with relevant teams whenever is required.
  • Monitor collection performance, delinquency, and NPL trends; provide insights and alerts to management.
  • Update monthly closing data and track portfolio KPIs to feed into performance dashboards and reporting.
  • Work closely with Finance on MA and prepare monthly regional and country reporting packs.
  • Prepare and update the quarterly BOD deck, ensuring accuracy and clarity of financial insights.
  • Support lender/investor due diligence (DD) processes, furnishing required financial data and business insights.
  • Manage scenario analysis and stress testing (e.g. interest rate hikes, higher default rates) to aid decision-making.
  • Partner with business and credit teams to evaluate financial impact of new dealer programs or pricing changes.
  • Track cost-to-income, ROA/ROE, utilization, and other performance metrics, providing analysis for improvement.
  • Prepare annual budgets and lead rolling forecasts, incorporating bottom-up inputs across business units.
  • Work closely with Group / HQ Finance teams to ensure timely communication and alignment on company matters, performance updates, and financial insights.
  • Support external audit processes by preparing and validating financial data relevant to the business portfolio during the annual financial audit.

Requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline.
  • 5–8 years of FP&A or financial modeling experience, preferably in lending, banking, or fintech finance.
  • Solid grasp of loan amortization, credit portfolio dynamics, and receivables modeling.
  • Experience in cash flow forecasting, provision modeling (e.g. IFRS 9), and cost tracking.
  • Advanced Excel skills; proficiency in Power BI or financial systems is a strong advantage.
  • Proven ability to support Board reporting, investor reporting, and lender due diligence exercises.

FINANCE BUSINESS PARTNERING

  • Act as Finance Business Partner to local Commercial & Operations teams. Drive constructive collaboration, propagate clear goals and expectations, manage effectively to describe and deliver financial objectives. Share accountability for business performance.
  • Be aware of the Commercial pipeline (local & GI) and support the deployment of pricing approval (PA) models. Be actively concerned that Commercial pipeline controls operate effectively. Participate in Opportunity Review Board discussions when required. Collaborate with the APAC Commercial FBP team to evaluate and report revenue pipeline status, performance and outlook.
  • Collaborate with the APAC Commercial and APAC Operations FBP teams - and directly with global business unit and functional stakeholders as may be needed from time to time - to deploy, establish and maintain management processes and working business models that coordinate and collate:
  • Strategic planning;
  • Growth projections, capacity & capital expenditure planning and cash planning & management; o Annual budgeting and multi-year planning (MYP); and
  • Monthly & Quarterly forecasting with structured assessment of risks & opportunities.
  • Provide routine reporting of financial results. Draw on and assimilate ‘report on a page’ or ‘vital signs’ style resources promoted by the Commercial FBP and Operations FBP teams to show: (i) a coherent mix of leading and lagging performance metrics; (ii) linkages to the underlying drivers of financial results; and (iii) measures of confidence around completeness.
  • Conduct variance analysis and other ad hoc investigations which provide the business with accurate and clear insights to: (i) identify and evaluate performance in comparison to strategic imperatives and budgeting objectives; and (ii) determine issues/countermeasures and assess risks/opportunities. Follow up issues to maintain awareness in the business and promote solutions.
  • Orchestrate formal Business Review requirements and provide required inputs to cluster, regional and global stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the production of business investment and capital expenditure cases, ensuring due diligence in the assessment of variables and determination of modeling inputs.
  • Collaborate with the APAC Operations FBP team to propagate initiatives, standards and protocols designed to sustain and grow profitability.
  • Ensure that there is prior approval and effective gatekeeping on all CapEx projects: enforce regional/global approval processes; submit compiled project materials for further review and approval as policy requires.
  • Support pricing and revenue management programs as required from time to time.

GENERAL FINANCE FUNCTION

  • Appropriately and actively engage and co-operate with both:
  • C&A (Control & Accounting, through Cluster Controllership) in relation to:
  • Execution of accounting period close procedures and compilation of accounting records in compliance with group accounting policies and internal controls, US GAAP and SOX requirements.
  • Meeting all local compliance requirements: statutory financial reporting; taxation; prudential controls; other regulatory requirements.
  • Facilitating external and internal audit relationships, supporting audit projects and following through on audit issues.
  • Tracking Shared Services KPI’s, managing service delivery and maintaining quality.
  • Maintain the balance sheet.
  • Manage cash resources, forecast cash flow and maintain funding to ensure the company can meet its commitments as and when they fall due.
  • Relevant Global Finance CoE’s (e.g. A2C, GRO FP&A, treasury, tax, global real estate) to streamline or bolster local capability, including through adoption of best practice policies, data gathering protocols, transaction systems and operating procedures.
  • Be satisfied that procurement and payables processes and systems operate to: optimize OpEx & CapEx; enforce required delegations of authority for requisitioning expenditure; match invoices to properly authorized requisitions or other validation prior to payment; and minimize transaction processing costs.

Qualifications:

Experience:

  • Minimum of 8 years of intermediate to advanced FP&A experience in a sizeable organization with divisional structures
  • Demonstrable data analysis, financial management reporting and financial performance evaluation skills
  • Demonstrable experience supporting Commercial and Operations leaders and collaborating to successfully drive financial performance
  • Up to date working understanding of core accounting standards and essential financial accounting and internal control concepts
  • Experience designing, implementing and improving financial systems and
  • processes

  • Close monitoring of plant KPIs and expenses and provide timely feedback for costs improvement.
  • Work closely with plant and finance colleagues in formulating products costing using ABC (Activity Based Costing) which involves processes analysis, empirical studies and establishing appropriate basis for costs allocations.

  • Support the plant management in production planning to ensure the smooth running of the production flow thus minimizing production downtime and optimizing sales opportunities.
  • Continuously identify areas of improvement in the existing plant processes which aims to enhance the speed, quality and costs and collaborate with plant management to execute the changes.
  • Coordinate and assist in the preparation of annual budget and rolling forecast.
  • Perform feasibility analysis on new capex or projects.
  • Ensure plant data capturing process is reliable in terms of accuracy and comply with statutory requirement. This in turn ensures the integrity of the analysis which will be used for decision making.
  • Assist plant management in managing the operations and business risks by continuously identifying, evaluate and mitigate the identified risks.

FINANCE BUSINESS PARTNERING Act as Finance Business Partner to local Commercial & Operations teams. GENERAL FINANCE FUNCTION Appropriately and actively engage and co-operate with both: C&A (Control & Accounting, through Cluster Controllership) in relation to: Execution of accounting period close procedures and compilation of accounting records in compliance with group accounting policies and internal controls, US GAAP and SOX requirements. Meeting all local compliance requirements: statutory financial reporting; taxation; prudential controls; other regulatory requirements. Facilitating external and internal audit relationships, supporting audit projects and following through on audit issues. Tracking Shared Services KPI’s, managing service delivery and maintaining quality. Maintain the balance sheet. Manage cash resources, forecast cash flow and maintain funding to ensure the company can meet its commitments as and when they fall due. Relevant Global Finance CoE’s (e.g. A2C, GRO FP&A, treasury, tax, global real estate) to streamline or bolster local capability, including through adoption of best practice policies, data gathering protocols, transaction systems and operating procedures. Be satisfied that procurement and payables processes and systems operate to: optimize OpEx & CapEx; enforce required delegations of authority for requisitioning expenditure; match invoices to properly authorized requisitions or other validation prior to payment; and minimize transaction processing costs. Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 8 years of intermediate to advanced FP&A experience in a sizeable organization with divisional structures Demonstrable data analysis, financial management reporting and financial performance evaluation skills Demonstrable experience supporting Commercial and Operations leaders and collaborating to successfully drive financial performance Up to date working understanding of core accounting standards and essential financial accounting and internal control concepts Experience designing, implementing and improving financial systems and processes Skills & style: High standards of accuracy and integrity: supports initiatives to drive revenue and grow the business while promoting orderly, controlled execution. Leadership - orchestrate planning and forecasting processes across multiple functions. Systematic, data-driven and results oriented: able to logically assimilate a variety of data points, manage a budget and help others do the same, execute and get things done without close supervision. Job Description

Doka EAP is actively seeking an experienced Senior Financial Planning & Analysis Manager EAP to join its team in Malaysia. We're looking for a financial co-pilot for Doka in the region, ensuring robust planning, insightful analysis and proactive business partnering across multiple countries.

In this role, you will drive budgeting, forecasting and performance management for a project-driven, multi-entity business, ensuring strategic alignment with the company’s global objectives. Reporting to the CFO EAP, this position plays a pivotal role in bridging regional operations, manufacturing & logistics as well as corporate finance, enabling profitability and standardization across the region.

You will be responsible for:

1. Regional Budgeting & Forecasting

  • Lead the annual budget and quarterly forecasting cycles for the Asia Pacific region, consolidating inputs from country finance leads and business units.

  • Incorporate construction industry cycles, regional market dynamics, and FX impacts into planning assumptions.

  • Coordinate with Group HQ Controlling to ensure alignment with global targets and reporting requirements.

2. Performance Monitoring & Analysis

  • Deliver monthly management reporting packs with variance analysis by country, business unit, and product line (formwork, scaffolding, engineering services).

  • Identify margin improvement opportunities, including project pricing discipline, cost recovery, and asset utilisation.

  • Analyse KPIs such as equipment turnover, project profitability, and working capital efficiency.

3. Business Partnering

  • Support Country Heads, Head of Controlling, and Operational Managers in making data-driven commercial decisions.

  • Provide financial insights for large tender evaluations, investment in formwork fleet, and expansion projects.

  • Partner with operations to improve inventory management and logistics cost control.

  • Acting as a role model, consistently embodying and representing Doka’s strategy, values, leadership culture, and code of conduct

4. Strategic & Ad-hoc Projects

  • Lead financial modelling for new market entry, capex investments, and regional strategic initiatives

  • Drive digitalisation and process automation for planning and reporting

5. Governance & Compliance

  • Ensure accuracy and compliance of regional financial data with DOKA Group policies and IFRS standards

  • Maintain data integrity in ERP and reporting tools (SAP, Hyperion, Power BI)

  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors on relevant FP&A matters

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related discipline; CPA/CFA/MBA preferred

  • 8–12 years of FP&A or Controlling experience, ideally in construction, manufacturing, or project-based businesses

  • Strong understanding of capex-heavy, asset rental models and project cost control

  • Proven experience consolidating financials across multiple legal entities and countries

  • Proficiency in SAP and BI tools (Hyperion, Power BI) is highly desirable
