Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of our trading platform roadmap, enhancing the experience for global CFD and spread betting traders
  • Translate complex business requirements into clear product specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria
  • Collaborate closely with engineering and architecture to understand the technology stack, influence architectural decisions, and ensure scalability
  • Manage the technical product backlog, prioritising tasks, guiding estimation, identifying dependencies, and addressing technical debt
  • Lead Agile ceremonies and foster a collaborative culture within development teams and engagement with the wider business community and strategy
  • Oversee release management with your QA, SRE and engineering team to ensure smooth and predictable deployments
  • Act as the primary point of contact for development squads and communicate effectively with all stakeholders on roadmap delivery and technical concepts

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years of proven success as a Product Owner, Technical Product Owner or Technical Business Analyst
  • Experience working in JIRA, Confluence, Figma, Miro (or similar tools) in a masterful way
  • Experience working in building delightful trading experiences and understanding the underlying trading execution platform
  • Experience working with trading products such as CFD, spread betting, sports betting, direct trading and investment products
  • Proficiency in discussing and understanding APIs, microservices, databases, cloud infrastructure, and distributed systems
  • Knowledge of common architectural patterns and trade-offs - including scalability, reliability, security, performance
  • Excellent interpersonal, and presentation skills to clearly communicate delivery progress and timelines in different ways
  • Strong project and cross-functional stakeholder management skills
  • Experience cooperating with Engineering Leads to get the most out of development teams
  • Strong technical writing ability with experience co-creating and reviewing technical specifications and tasks
  • Experience managing and communicating releases to customers and internal stakeholders
  • Experience implementing agile processes and being able to adapt to the needs and capabilities of the business

Preferred Requirements

  • Direct experience in the CFD, spread betting
  • Experience with API design (e.g. Swagger) and championing well-defined and documented APIs
  • Experience working with hybrid, remote, in-house, outsourced, and mixed-capability development teams
  • Experience working with tech stacks - such as C# , Python, Javascript / Typescript

Techno-Functional Product Owner – Customer Solutions – Client Communication to drive the development and enhancement of phygital client communication solution covering print, digital and interactive solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong mix of business acumen and technical expertise, with experience in retail banking and client communication products like statements, advices, eNotices, Letters etc. This role requires collaboration with WRB Platform & Domain & Development Organization.

Key Responsibilities:

Product Strategy & Roadmap: -

  • Design and execute the product roadmap for Client Communication Platform
  • Align payment solutions with regulatory requirements, industry standards and business objectives.
  • Stay updated on emerging trends in interactive as well as non-interactive client communication trends in the industry.

Requirement Gathering & Stakeholder Management:

  • Act as a bridge between business and technology teams, ensuring clear and actionable product requirements.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to gather requirements.
  • Work with external partners to enhance payment offerings.
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory compliance, risk mitigation and governance policies.

Collaboration And Alignment:

  • Work Closely with Product Owners, Security and Chapters to define and implement Solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams for successful implementation and deployment of payment solutions.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay updated on emerging technologies in client communication space.
  • Foster a culture of innovation by driving modernization initiatives and continuous improvement strategies.
  • Align technical solutions with the organization long-term technology vision and business goals.
  • Leverage automation CI/CD and Sec Devops practices to improve software development efficiency.

  • Shape and Communicate Platform Vision
  • Contribute to building a multi-year strategic roadmap, blending market insights, business needs, and technical innovation to position the platform for future success.
  • Execute this roadmap with hive lead and squad leaders, ensuring wide alignment and clear understanding of why, how and when the platform will evolve.
  • Align with Enterprise Objectives
  • Ensure platform initiatives directly support major WRB outcomes and domain-level OKRs.
  • Champion a data-driven approach to prioritisation, incorporating both functional milestones and non-functional imperatives (e.g., security, scalability, performance).
  • Set Balanced Strategic Priorities & KPIs
  • Drive adoption of measurable metrics (e.g., developer adoption, cost savings, time-to-market improvements) to improve the platform’s success.
  • Proactively integrate technical debt reduction and compliance items into these priorities, balancing new feature delivery with foundational stability.
  • Promote Scalability & Sustainable Growth
  • Collaborate with Hive Lead, Engineering Leads, Production Engineering and Architects to embed performance, reliability, and risk controls at the architecture level.
  • Manage trade-offs between rapid feature deployment and the long-term viability of the platform ecosystem.

Business*

  • Champion Stakeholder Needs
  • Continuously advocate for Journeys/Platforms and other Hive stakeholders, translating their feedback into the unified backlog for the Hive.
  • Build transparent relationships with Journeys to ensure each domain’s objectives are reflected in the platform’s evolution.
  • Unified Backlog Ownership
  • Maintain a single backlog that captures stream aligned journey roadmaps, business-driven features, technical enablers, and compliance/risk work.
  • Balance urgent demands against strategic investments, reflecting the right mix of short-term wins and long-term capabilities.
  • Value-Driven Delivery & Communication
  • Provide real-time visibility into backlog status, upcoming releases, and risk items through lifecycle tools like Clarity, Azure DevOps (ADO), and Confluence.
  • Host regular reviews showcasing platform increments (e.g., new integrations, improved APIs), inviting cross-domain feedback to refine direction.
  • Foster Cross-Domain and Cross-Hive Synergy
  • Identify reusable platform capabilities that reduce duplication and accelerate outcomes across multiple hives.
  • Collaborate with engineering lead to avoid siloed development and ensure a consistent user experience where platform services are leveraged.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Overall 15+ years of experience with a minimum 5 years of digital product design / engineering senior leadership experience
  • Demonstrable track record of delivering and scaling shared platform capabilities.
  • Deep familiarity with agile product management at scale, having guided squads across various technical, compliance, and stakeholder landscapes.
  • Demonstrable leadership experience in leading high quality digital product owners
  • Experience of Client Communication domains

About The Role

Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for building impactful digital products? We’re looking for a Product Owner to join our COO Office and drive the development of high-impact features from concept to launch.

In this role, you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, including tech, design and operations. You will be expected to align user needs with business goals. From refining the product backlog to leading Agile ceremonies, you’ll be the go-to person ensuring that the product is delivering value. If you’re adaptable, user-focused and thrive in fast-paced environments, we want to hear from you.

Core Responsibilities

Product Vision & Strategy

  • Define and communicate a clear product vision aligned with company goals
  • Gather market and customer insights to drive informed decision-making
  • Translate feedback and data into actionable product improvements

Backlog & Requirements Management

  • Maintain a prioritised product backlog with well-defined user stories and acceptance criteria
  • Work closely with developers to ensure clarity on features and requirements
  • Adjust priorities in response to market shifts and internal feedback

Agile Product Development

  • Actively participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups and retrospectives
  • Partner with tech teams to ensure deliverables meet expectations
  • Keep timelines on track while staying flexible to changing needs

User Experience & Design

  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to build user-centric, intuitive interfaces
  • Validate features through testing and user feedback
  • Ensure consistent, seamless user journeys across product touchpoints

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Liaise with internal teams, including marketing, sales and customer success, to align priorities
  • Represent the voice of the customer and ensure their needs are at the heart of development
  • Communicate progress, roadmaps and outcomes clearly to leadership and other stakeholders

Quality & Product Launch

  • Own the quality of the product by ensuring all features meet defined criteria
  • Coordinate cross-functional product launches and monitor post-launch performance
  • Gather insights post-launch for continual improvement

What We’re Looking For

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Product Owner or Product Manager in a fast-paced, agile environment

Skills & Attributes

  • Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban)
  • Excellent communication, leadership and stakeholder management skills
  • Strategic thinker who can balance short-term needs with long-term goals
  • Technical fluency to communicate effectively with development teams
  • Confident in navigating and resolving conflict diplomatically
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating cross-functionally

In one sentence

The Product Owner will be part of the Engineering organisation and will work within the SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework) SDLC framework. The successful candidate will work closely with the Product Managers, Program Directors, Architects and Focus teams to ensure features, epics, stories, and tasks move through the process without ambiguity. They should have solid working experience and be able to clearly articulate relevant examples of past work experiences and references. The role is ideal for someone who is excited about working in a fast-paced environment that is both dynamic and flexible

What will your job look like?

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate closely with the product managers to understand the product roadmap features and align on priorities.
  • Contribute to feature-level refinement to ensure quality requests are fed into delivery team.
  • Act as voice of the customer and Product Manager to delivery team.
  • Work Directly with Architects and Team leads to review Feature requests and their High-Level Designs with a view to driving Epics and user stories onto the product backlog.
  • Lead delivery team refinement sessions.
  • Maintain team backlogs - stories with acceptance criteria confirmed ready for development and prioritised.
  • Work directly with focus teams during sprints and releases taking stories to acceptance and participating in demos and review meetings.
  • Provide use case review and input to testers in the development teams.
  • Oversee and manage the flow of epics for the teams they are working with and report on progress in weekly program reviews.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements across the delivery lifecycle, and drive changes where appropriate.

All you need is.

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in engineering, computer science or related discipline.
  • Minimum of 2 Years Experience working as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or technical Business Analyst in a product company.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills – must be a good “translator,” with an ability to express complex technical concepts in business terms, and equally represent business needs to technical stakeholders.
  • Domain knowledge in Telecoms Charging or OSS/BSS/billing/mediation and data processing is favourable.
  • Experience with requirements handling of standards e.g. 3GPP and TM Forum desired.
  • Experience in software development/engineering is favourable.
  • Experience in agile methodologies is expected, with Scaled Agile Framework an advantage.
  • Be business oriented and able to represent the customer needs.
  • Experienced in functionality/specs definition, architecture, and design.
  • Interaction with commercial customers and expectation management of same.
  • Ability to facilitate and manage scope changes and negotiate prioritisation.
  • Demonstrates resilience, ambition and confident in ability to work independently.
  • Experience working with remote and highly distributed teams.

As a Payment Product Owner in our digital bank , you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of digital payments in Malaysia. Responsibilities

1. Payment Rail Expertise:

  • Deep understanding of payment rails in Malaysia, including DuitNow , and other local and international payment networks.
  • Stay updated on the latest developments and regulations in the Malaysian payment landscape.
  • Analyze and interpret market trends to identify opportunities for product enhancement and innovation.

2. Product Development:

  • Collaborate with the UIUX and tech teams to conceptualize, design, and develop cutting-edge digital payment solutions tailored to the Malaysian market.
  • Drive the end-to-end product development lifecycle, from ideation to implementation, ensuring seamless integration with local payment rails.

3. Compliance and Security:

  • Ensure all payment products adhere to regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Implement robust security measures to safeguard customer data and transactions, mitigating risks associated with digital payments.

4. User Experience Optimization:

  • Continuously assess and improve the user experience of digital payment products, focusing on simplicity, speed, and convenience for customers.
  • Conduct usability studies and gather feedback to refine payment interfaces and functionalities.

5. Partnership and Collaboration:

  • Collaborate with external partners, financial institutions, and regulatory bodies to establish strategic alliances and expand the digital payment ecosystem.
  • Negotiate agreements and contracts with payment service providers to ensure seamless connectivity and interoperability.

6. Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • Utilize data analytics to track payment product performance, identify patterns, and derive actionable insights.
  • Prepare regular reports and presentations for management, highlighting key performance metrics and suggesting improvements based on data analysis.

The right individual will have the following key success capabilities and qualities:

  • Strong knowledge of payment rails, protocols, and technologies, including API integration and mobile payment systems.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in digital payment product development and management, specifically within the Malaysian market.
  • Familiarity with regulatory frameworks governing digital payments in Malaysia.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
