Lead and manage the cross-functional team consisting of members and subject matter experts from various functions as well as external consultants and advisors in the execution/sourcing of mergers, acquisitions, and divestment (M&A) opportunities/deals sanctioned by Management to ensure the most viable, profitable, and competitive investments are made;
- To safeguard the company’s Specialty Chemical (SC) interests;
- To achieve the Company strategies and targets for sustainable growth;
- Alignment to the company’s strategic direction and integrated value are unlocked & optimized.
Job Description:
- Market Research and Analysis: Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential acquisition targets or merger partners that align with the company’s growth strategy. This may involve evaluating industry trends, competitive landscape, and financial performance of potential targets.
- Execution of Merger & Acquisition (M&A) transactions: Plan, lead, coordinate and drive all matters related to Investment and M&A transaction process which include conducting valuation, conducting due diligence, developing deal structures, developing negotiation strategies and finalizing the legal documentation in accordance with the relevant limits of authority.
- Post Acquisition activities: Coordinate and drive the development of integration plans post-acquisition. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (such as HR, IT, operations) to address integration challenges and ensure smooth transition and realization of synergies.
- Stakeholders Management, Communication & Reporting: Build and maintain relationships with external advisors, consultants, and other parties involved in M&A transactions. Foster positive relationships and collaboration to support successful outcomes.
Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Accounting, Finance, Economics or any related field.
Requirement:
- Minimum of 10 years of work experience in mergers & acquisitions (for manager)/ Minimum of 17 years of work experience in mergers & acquisitions (for senior manager), strategic planning, economic evaluation, finance, business development, or similar exposure.
- Able to lead a multi-disciplinary team and experience in drafting or negotiating commercial agreements is an added advantage.
