About The Role

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Financial Reporting Manager to join our Group Finance team at RHB Banking Group. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the preparation and timely delivery of financial and regulatory reporting for the Group and Bank entity. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Liaise with onboard finance teams, HR, procurement, and IT to ensure data accuracy and process alignment.
  • Provide financial data and insights to support operational decision-making.
  • Participate in finance system integration and testing (e.g., ERP, PMS interfaces).

General Finance Support

  • Perform finance-related tasks as assigned by the Finance Manager.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and ad hoc financial analysis.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across finance operations.
Job Requirements

Qualifications:

Education & Experience:

● Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

● Minimum 3–5 years of experience in financial accounting and payables, preferably in hospitality, maritime, or multinational environments.

● Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, NetSuite, SunSystems, Odoo) and financial reporting tools.

● Knowledge of Malaysian and Southeast Asian statutory requirements (e.g., SST, WHT, audit standards).

● Experience with cruise operations is an advantage.

● Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset.

● Excellent organizational and time management skills.

● Effective communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.

● Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

● Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment.

In this role, you will:

Prepare and review tax, financial, and regulatory reports for our superannuation fund and managed investment trust clients, ensuring high-quality, accurate, and timely reporting with attention to detail. Analyze and resolve operational issues effectively.

You will support process improvements and collaborate on technology developments to meet business and client expectations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing financial statements, distribution calculations, and tax returns
  • Preparing regulatory reports for APRA and ABS
  • Reconciling accounting income with taxable income
  • Performing daily and monthly activities following procedures and controls
  • Reviewing and resolving aging break items and thresholds
  • Updating procedures and controls
  • Providing backup coverage and supporting team during high volume periods
  • Driving process improvements and error mitigation
  • Assisting with audit, client queries, and risk management
  • Assessing risks in business decisions, ensuring compliance, and escalating issues appropriately

Ideal candidate skills and qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, technology, or related fields
  • Minimum 4 years relevant experience with financial reporting knowledge
  • Experience in accounting, finance, or business operations
  • Experience in fund administration, change, or project management
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

What You’ll Need

  • Degree in Accounting/Finance/Business, a student member/member of professional accounting bodies is a plus; at least 4 years of working experience with at least 3 years audit experience;
  • Good understanding of IFRS;
  • Previous hands-on experience in the successful implementation of Finance-related projects;
  • Mature, self-motivated, strong sense of responsibility, independent, detail-oriented and well organised;
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, fluent in English and Mandarin;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel/Word, PowerPoint and Google Sheet;
  • Experience in Oracle Netsuite is an added advantage.
