The new roles

Account Payable Reporting to Manager, you will be responsible for the daily Accounts Payable operations, ensuring all requests are handled in compliance with financial policies. Perform Month End Close activities, support AP self-assessment, internal and external audits, assist with any ad-hoc assignments as required. Perform KPI analysis as well as prepare reports & presentation for management and business partners.

Expense Report Reporting to Manager, you will be responsible for daily expense report functions, resolving issues and liaising with expense report or reimbursement to employees, perform month end closing activities, undertake any ad-hoc assignments as required, as well as proactively challenge the current processes and develop business process improvements for overall organizational efficiency and effectiveness.

Distributor Ops Analyst Reporting to Manager, you will be managing the Distributor program which includes Distributor Resale, inventory and rebate processing & reconciliation. Involve in reporting & analysis in decision making. Support IT project assignments and process improvements and support internal and external audit requests.

General Ledger Reporting to Manager, you will be assisting in performing month end and year end closing, preparation of Balance Sheet Reconciliation and preparation of interim & year-end audit schedules as well as involve in KPI & metrics tracking and measurement.

Requirements to succeed

You are a Bachelor’s degree holder in Accounting / Finance or professional qualification. A minimum of 1 to 2 years of working experience in finance or reporting and analytics environment. Experience in SAP system is an added advantage. You should also possess strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications. Ideally, you are people-oriented and a team player, positive and proactive, willing to learn, with good communication skills (Chinese language is an added advantage), detail-oriented and analytical.

Key Accountabilities 1. Financial Accounting and Reporting Plan and manage the production of financial statements and management reporting for Petrochemical through efficient and accurate maintenance of accounting records and execution of month-end activities, proactive identification and mitigation of potential audit issues, effective facilitation of external audit procedures, develop and present adequate analysis on financial performance and highlighting areas of concern requiring attention or action to the management, Board of Audit Committee (“BAC”) and Board of Directors (“BOD”) to ensure the reliability of financial numbers and financial statements as well as to meet the filing and submission requirement of relevant statutory bodies and stakeholders.

2. Corporate Income Tax Filing and Compliance Plan and manage the overall management of companies’ tax compliance for Petrochemical such as preparation and submission of monthly tax provision for monthly reporting, accurate tax estimate and tax returns through comprehensive tax computation and detail analysis on the expenses and income incurred or received by the respective companies and ensuring that payments for tax are discharged accurately and timely to ensure conformance to tax laws and legislation.

3. Provision of Financial Information and Advisory Manage and provide support on accounting and financial matters (i.e. accounting policies, procedures and guidelines) to business stakeholders on Petrochemical through timely and accurate identification of issues and recommendations to address any operational matters in line with the requirement prescribed by policies and procedures, MFRSs and/or relevant law.

4. Fixed Asset Management Plan and manage Fixed Assets Management activities through periodic physical assets verification, proper valuation and recording of assets, impairment assessment and management of disposal and write off, in compliance with the established accounting policies and procedures, governance and applicable accounting standards in order to ensure that all fixed assets are properly managed, valued and recorded.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting

Minimum 10 years relevant working experience, experience in plant operations is preferred

Accounting certifications (ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW, MICPA, or CFA) are an added advantage.

Work Condition Physical Demand Primarily office-based for data analysis, reporting, and coordination with internal and external stakeholders. Occasional off-site meetings or discussions with business units or customers.

Work Environment Work is performed in office, and operation plant environments. Must comply with Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) guidelines. Standard office working hours with potential for extended hours during month-end closing, audits, or reconciliation cycles.

Overview

With limited guidance, perform finance-related activities related to Financial Accounting, Reporting, Tax, Treasury, Group Re, Planning, FinOps and Performance Management. Ensure that all tasks and procedures are completed to achieve key business objectives. Efficient stakeholder management internally and externally. Responsibilities

Performs close related ledger tasks, e.g. accruals, provisions, reconciliations and journal postings. Prepares ledger reports and other reports including those required by Group and regulators. Performs analysis of the results. Conducts accounts receivable and accounts payable activities. Performs basic technical research. Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to ensure accounting, finance-related activities, processes and procedures are followed and completed. Enhances business decision making and supports development and execution of business strategy and other initiatives through robust data, accurate detailed financial analysis, insight and other relevant activities. Provides regular support as a subject matter expert to projects and internal initiatives by providing know-how and expertise in required areas. Monitors, optimizes and implements new automated processes by utilizing one or a combination of suitable technologies. Performs and updates ICFR controls in compliance with internal control guidelines. Performance Management Accountabilities Demonstrate commitment to corporate values. A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or a related field. Senior Analyst (Reporting & Analysis (Financial Accounting and Controlling (FAC)) 6 months Contract

Purpose The role of Senior Analyst will be primarily responsible for smooth delivery of Shell China legal entity reporting activities in an accurate, timely and efficient manner in line with World Class Close aspiration.

The incumbent will be responsible in monthly and quarterly reporting activities including performing financial analysis and providing insights from group/legal entities perspective, facilitate & support business decision as needed, advise on complex accounting treatment and effective execution of financial controls as part of financial reporting governance.

Act as first point of escalation for Shell China related financial reporting, resolving, or escalating issues timely and effectively.

Support local statutory reporting activities (including Shell China consolidation) and ensure timely close out with external auditor.

Effectively interfaces & engages with internal (FO/non FO/business) & external stakeholders, build end to end financial understanding with business insights, making sense of the numbers and ensuring financial data are accurate and reliable.

Resolve and escal . compliance with group and global policies and procedures. Exceptionally strong team-working and collaboration across the process is essential in delivering operational excellence.

Ownership & proactive in delivering operational improvements through strong CI and learner mindset

Maintain and operate a control framework that ensures effective and robust financial control.

Leading, managing and ensuring the timely delivery of business & reporting change project as required, opportunity to build up project/change management skills.

Qualification Degree in Finance/Accounting or Professional Qualifications with minimum 5 years related working experience

Working knowledge & experience in SAP is an added advantage. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.

Sound process understanding in one or more of the following processes: AR/AP, GL, FA, CM. Experience in audit or handling full sets of financial reporting is and added advantage.

Broad knowledge of financial accounting requirements (Proficiency in financial accounting practices and IFRS standards).

Professional skepticism, good analytical skills, meticulous and able to work independently & prioritize well. Strong stakeholder management & collaboration skills.

Results oriented, fast paced, resourceful and proactive.

Resilient, agile in adapting & responding to business changes/ reporting requirements, able to deliver independently and work under pressure.
