Overview
Account Resolution Specialist (Cantonese speaking, UK & HK markets - Evening shift) – American Express. This role focuses on providing operational support to optimize the Collection performance of the Cancelled Collections portfolios. Responsibilities include supporting external vendors and internal partners, completing tasks timely and accurately to ensure compliance with internal policies, external requirements (e.g., Sarbanes-Oxley and local laws), and contributing to overall customer and stakeholder success.
Responsibilities- Handle first call resolution and closure of predominantly external agency inquiries and some card member inquiries received through voice, email, and written correspondence, aiming to resolve service items and correctly action card member accounts.
- Meet all required market compliance training to service incoming calls from external agencies and card members from respective markets.
- Handle over-the-phone complaints and direct complainants to the correct channel if escalation is requested.
- Investigate and action card member disputes and provide feedback/outcome to the requesting party.
- Provide accurate and timely responses to internal Amex, outside agencies, cancelled card members, and debt purchasers via telephone and/or email.
- Update financial adjustments within designated timeframes to the correct ledgers.
- Prepare and send Direct Debit, Paid in Full, Settled in Full & Default correspondence to card members as required.
- Understand and comply with all Sarbanes Oxley testing requirements and related processes (e.g., work list penetration timeliness, write accuracy, and agency invoice payment processing).
- Aim for an accuracy score of 96% or greater through the Quality Assurance assessment process each month.
- Upon request, perform other collections-related tasks and projects as required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and macros are advantageous.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to accuracy and detail.
- Ability to make sound decisions effectively and promptly with minimal supervision.
- Good self-discipline, able to meet deadlines and handle multiple tasks.
- Ability to work across multiple cultures and commercial environments.
- Good interpersonal skills, mature and patient in handling difficult situations.

Overview
Financial Analysis Senior Specialist role at NTT DATA North America. This position is Fully Remote - Malaysia, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur (MY-14), Malaysia.
Key Responsibilities- Extract data from financial reports to conduct financial and statistical analysis and identify financial discrepancies and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Contribute to the monitoring and controlling of expenditure by approving or denying requisitions based on whether the items are within budget.
- Prepare a variety of financial reports based on the analysis results.
- Conduct presentations related to findings and provide recommendations to the relevant internal stakeholders.
- Research and analyze costs of projects, departments, and future ventures to provide information and insights about expenses and determine profitability margins.
- Conduct budget and expense analysis and report on variances ensuring that the projected budget is met and assisting with cost reduction initiatives.
- Reconcile and review monthly account analysis for balance sheet accounts.
- Ensure budget and forecast variances are analysed and recommendations are made to correct or improve company performance.
- Assist with input into the annual budgeting and forecasting process.
- Ensure key pieces of analysis are performed on areas of risk or opportunity within the business and that the financial levers are understood and communicated to the business together with clear recommendations.
- Continuously review business initiatives to ensure that they meet the required profitability expectations.
- Identify cost management opportunities (processes or expenses) for ensuring improved profitability and sustainable returns for the business.
- Degree in Finance / Commerce
- At least 5 years in financial planning and analysis and business analysis within a multinational company
- Comprehensive finance experience in a similar position in a related environment
- Experience with accounting software
- Australia – Will follow Malaysia working hours. May required to support Australia working hours if there’s urgent deliverables.
