Account Development Executive (TELESALES)

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated Account Development Executive to connect customers with insurance solutions through outbound telemarketing. This is a great opportunity for individuals who enjoy sales, customer engagement, and earning through commissions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Promote and sell insurance products via outbound telemarketing.
  • Achieve sales targets and meet campaign KPIs.
  • Convert warm leads provided by partners (e.g., banks and lifestyle brands).
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling and up-selling.
  • Maintain accurate customer records in the database.
  • Ensure all activities comply with regulations and quality standards.

Who We're Looking For:

  • Minimum GCE 'O' Level / SPM equivalent.
  • Prior experience in telemarketing, sales, banking, financial services, or insurance preferred.
  • Insurance certifications (BCP, PGI, HI) are an advantage (training & sponsorship provided if not certified).
  • Strong communication skills with proficiency in English.
  • Resilient, persuasive, and target-driven with a positive attitude.
  • Comfortable with outbound calls and handling customer objections.

What We Offer:

  • Salary:
  • Without insurance certs: SGD$2,800 + commission
  • With insurance certs: SGD$,000 – SGD$3 500 + commission
  • Attractive commission structure: average SGD 500 – SGD$6 000/month, tiered up to 22%.
  • Training & certification fully sponsored (up to 6 attempts, paid study time, and strong trainer support).

To be responsible for the NGSR and sales volume achievement, optimization of direct marketing expenses budget to achieve target given if applicable and credit A/R management.

To conduct Business Review with individual outlet – quarterly basis.

10.    Maintain on-going surveillance and provide feedback of the market condition.

·    Manage Account Receivable – to constantly keep track and monitor payment pattern and take corrective action

·    Customer relationship Management – to visit customers and have complete monitoring/tracking of all customer activities to ensure all matters pertaining to delivery, promo details, sales records, outlet master maintenance, compliances etc. are up to date and feedback

·    Ensure 100% coverage rate as set per coverage plan and asset tracking through HHT

Job Objective:

The Senior Account Development Manager will be responsible for expanding the agent base, strengthening existing relationships and identifying opportunities to drive revenue growth, with a focus on providing exceptional client service and support. They will also be responsible to support the sales and profitability targets for the branch.

Individual Responsibilities:

Financial Performance

  • Meet the sales target in line with the branch objectives and goals
  • Oversee collection of outstanding payments and manage financial performance in the sales unit

Agent Management

  • Responsible for managing relationship with preferred agents, supporting agents to grow their business and help increase the share of wallet.
  • Provide excellent service to agents including prompt response to queries, effective claims tracking, accurate quotation generation
  • Regular visits to assigned agents, to maintain relationship, business development discussions, training, and general problem solving
  • Conduct CPD training for agent at branch level
  • Verify monthly CBC breaches report sent by HQ – for PIAM quarterly reporting
  • Obtain information for the unsubmitted or unconverted cover notes from agents
  • Manage agent's statement of accounts

Agent recruiting and growth

  • Recruit, onboard and develop preferred agents, and ensure activation
  • Focus on driving profitable motor segments through agents
  • Maintain relationship and continue building trust with preferred segment of agents, thus growing their share of wallet
  • Drive Agents growth by identifying their needs, organizing customized trainings, and through targeted interventions

Business Operations

  • Ensure effective and efficient administration of day-to-day business operations in line with SOP across all support functions
  • Ensure that the branch SLAs and TATs are met
  • Respond to various requests from customers, agents and HQ
  • Provide training to junior staff on best sales practices

Compliance

  • Ensure consistency with risk management guidelines
  • Ensure compliance with regulations and laws

Ensure good corporate governance is practiced and are being exercised

Job Requirement:

  1. Minimum Diploma or bachelor's degree in any related field.
  2. At least 5 years working experience in insurance industry.
  3. Ability to build long term relationship with key clients.
  4. Has good communication and negotiation skills.
