SAP ABAP Consultant Responsibilities:

Lead a team of SAP ABAP developers in the design, development, and implementation of complex SAP solutions. Write and enhance ABAP programs to meet business requirements, including Reports, Forms, Enhancements, and BADI implementations. Implement and maintain integrations between SAP modules (MM, SD, FICO) and other systems using IDocs, BAPIs, and RFCs. Conduct performance analysis of ABAP programs, optimize SQL queries, ABAP reports, and system processes for optimal speed and efficiency. Provide in-depth troubleshooting of complex ABAP programs and resolve issues in SAP production and development environments. Work with cross-functional teams, including Functional Consultants, Business Analysts, and System Architects, to design and implement scalable solutions. Participate in unit testing, create thorough documentation for all code changes, and ensure proper version control. Stay up-to-date with the latest SAP technologies, best practices, and coding standards, ensuring all code is efficient, maintainable, and scalable. Guide and mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and share best practices with the team to improve development quality. Requirements:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Minimum 8+ years of experience in SAP ABAP development and configuration. Proven expertise in ABAP programming, including Advanced ABAP, Reports, Forms (Smart forms/Adobe), Enhancements, BADI, User Exits, and Dialog Programming. Proficient in SAP modules integration such as MM, SD, FICO, and familiarity with IDocs, BAPIs, and RFCs for data exchange. Experience in optimizing ABAP programs, SQL queries, and reports to enhance system performance and minimize resource usage. Expertise in debugging ABAP code and resolving complex issues in development, testing, and production environments. Experience with SAP Fiori/UI5 for building user interfaces and integrating them with SAP back-end systems (optional but preferred). Knowledge of SAP NetWeaver and/or SAP HANA for system integration, development, and optimization. Proficiency in version control systems, such as Git, to manage code changes and ensure quality. Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA and its integration with ABAP. Experience developing SOAP and RESTful Web Services to integrate SAP with external systems. • Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent
• 3-5 years of applied experience in ABAP program development & support on both SAP S/4HANA or SAP ECC
• Strong technical proficiency in object-oriented ABAP development, including debugging, and problem management.
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience working in an Agile/DevOps environment, familiar with work management using Scrum, Kanban, CI/CD as well as tools such as Jira, Octane, Trello, Asana and ADO.
• Strong foundation in IDocs, interfaces, enhancements, and Adobe forms
• Solid understanding of integration to SAP modules such as OTC, SD, FIN, PM and CS.
• Knowledge of XML, work pool, and SAP XI/CPI would be an advantage.

Work you will do

This role sits within the SAP team of Deloitte Southeast Asia, which encompasses the SAP ABAP solutions respectively. As a leader of this group, you will drive the growth of our SAP business in the region and be responsible for the creation, sale and delivery of SAP solutions: Functional and Technical Design, SAP Application & Systems Development, SAP Business Transformation, etc.

Requirement :

• Proven hands-on experience with the ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model (RAP).

• Strong understanding of various SAP modules and their associated business processes (e.g., FI, CO, PS, TR, MM, PM).
• Proficiency in ABAP programming, including ABAP Objects, CDS views, and OData services.
• Experience with SAP Fiori and UI5 development.
• Knowledge of debugging tools and performance tuning techniques in ABAP.
• Familiarity with process mapping and modeling techniques (e.g., BPMN).
• Experience with RPA tools and methodologies.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):
  • Experience with SAP BTP and cloud-native development.
  • Knowledge of integration technologies (e.g., APIs, SOAP, REST).
  • Certifications in Business Process Management (BPM) or Lean Six Sigma.

Work you will do This role sits within the SAP team of Deloitte Southeast Asia, which encompasses the SAP ABAP solutions respectively. As a leader of this group, you will drive the growth of our SAP business in the region and be responsible for the creation, sale and delivery of SAP solutions: Functional and Technical Design, SAP Application & Systems Development, SAP Business Transformation, etc. Engage clients in workshops and interviews to analyze process and reporting requirements Advise clients on industry/ cross-industry leading practices. Advise clients on SAP recommended processes and functions Design target state SAP solutions for clients. Influence clients’ thinking in adopting leading/ standard practices while developing target state Analyze application landscape to design interfaces to SAP solution Perform SAP configuration and tests. Strong understanding of SAP S/4HANA architecture and data model. Strong understanding of various SAP modules and their associated business processes (e.g., FI, CO, PS, TR, MM, PM). Proficiency in ABAP programming, including

ABAP Objects, CDS views, and OData services. Experience with SAP Fiori and UI5 development. Knowledge of debugging tools and performance tuning techniques in ABAP. Familiarity with process mapping and modeling techniques (e.g., BPMN). Experience with RPA tools and methodologies. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Preferred Skills (Nice to Have) :

Experience with SAP BTP and cloud-native development. Knowledge of integration technologies (e.g., APIs, SOAP, REST). Certifications in Business Process Management (BPM) or Lean Six Sigma. Experience with specific SAP BPA tools (e.g., SAP Build Process Automation, SAP IRPA, SAP CPI/PO). Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript) for automation development.
