Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist to join our team in Kertih, Malaysia . The successful candidate will provide technical support, troubleshooting, and IT assistance to end users. This role requires someone with strong technical skills and a customer-focused approach.
Job DescriptionIT Support Specialist Level 2 Engineer will provide day-to-day local desktop support, receive inbound calls, answer questions, troubleshoot, and document steps performed to resolve challenges with hardware, software, and application issues in a ticketing system. The candidate will also need to facilitate customer resolution for calls and engage their supervisors and managers to ensure operational consistency across all shifts within the IT Support Centre. Desktop Support Engineer provides break fixes, fault diagnosis, and resolution. Providing fault analysis to customers’ various core operating systems and platforms, as well be able to provide support and apply desktop fault resolution for the approved application suite. The ideal candidate should have 2 years of experience in Windows Desktop support.
Key Responsibilities- Provide first/second level contact and problem resolution for customer issues.
- Work with Third Party Vendors to remediate complex AV issues as needed.
- Provide timely communication on issue status and resolution.
- Maintain ticket updates for all reported incidents.
- Install, upgrade, support, and troubleshoot XP, Windows 7, Windows 8.1, Windows 10 and Microsoft Office 2010, Cisco Jabber, another authorized desktop application.
- Should have basic knowledge of the Mac operating system, to support Apple PC users.
- Install, upgrade, support, and troubleshoot for printers, and computer hardware.
- Performs general preventative maintenance tasks on computers, laptops, and printers.
- Performs remedial repairs on desktops, laptops, printers, and any other authorized peripheral equipment.
- Use diagnostic tools to troubleshoot problems associated with network connectivity, and workstation hardware/software.
- Broad experience in IT with a basic understanding of Networks, Servers, Audio/Visual, Smart Devices, and Telecoms.
- This position requires the ability to work in a project-based environment requiring flexibility and teamwork. Performs other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
- CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) or better.
- Minimum of 4 years of IT experience.
- Windows 7-10, Microsoft Active Directory, utilization of GPOs, MS Office 365, PC hardware installation and troubleshooting, Enterprise anti-virus solutions, and Helpdesk ticketing systems.
- Mobile device management including IOS and Android devices, Enterprise encryption solutions, and Windows PC/laptop management via Active Directory.
- Proven analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to multitask, effectively determine priorities, and meet SLAs.
- Excellent communication relationship-building and internal customer service skills.

Our client is looking for a Civil & Structure Engineer to join their team on a 6-month contract basis for a brownfield project at a client’s plant in Kerteh. The successful candidate will support the EPCC contractor during the detailed design phase. This role is suited for professionals with 5–7 years of civil and structural experience in the Oil & Gas sector, especially within brownfield environments, who can contribute immediately in a fast-paced project setting.
Key Responsibilities- Provide civil and structural engineering expertise for brownfield modification projects.
- Deliver and review detailed civil/structural design deliverables including drawings, specifications, and calculations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordination and integration of designs.
- Validate existing structural conditions through site surveys and coordinate necessary modifications.
- Ensure designs meet all applicable industry standards, codes, and client specifications.
- Support technical reviews, constructability analysis, and resolve design-related issues promptly.
- Engage and liaise effectively with client, EPCC contractor, and other stakeholders.
- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- 5–7 years of relevant experience in the Oil & Gas industry, particularly with brownfield projects.
- Strong understanding of EPCC project execution, especially during the detailed design phase.
- Familiar with applicable codes and standards such as BS, Eurocode, ACI, ASCE, etc.
- Proficient in design and analysis software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, AutoCAD, SAP2000, etc.).
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and coordination skills.
- Willing to be based full-time in Kerteh, Terengganu for the duration of the contract.
