THE ROLE: As part of the AECG ASIC/Custom Silicon team, we are looking for an adaptive, self-motivated Front-End Silicon Design Engineer to join our growing team. As a key contributor, you will be part of a leading team to drive and improve AMD's ability to deliver high-quality, industry-leading technologies to market. THE PERSON: As a Front-End Silicon Design Engineer, you will work with chip architects to conceive designs and help define architecture/products through early involvement in the product lifecycle. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Convert chip specifications to RTL using internal and external IPs. Plan and deliver IP-level RTL, and implement front-end RTL integration. Experience in ASIC/SoC front-end design and methodologies, preferably RTL Verilog and VHDL based. Hands-on front-end design of complex multi-clock domain blocks. Proficiency in design and verification languages such as VHDL, Verilog, and SystemVerilog. Good scripting skills, e.g., TCL, shell scripting, Perl, Python. Define and debug SDC timing constraints. Optimize designs to meet power, performance, area, and timing requirements. Write clear, synthesizable Verilog RTL. Create well-documented block-level design documentation. Participate in post-silicon functional and performance debugging and tuning. Be self-driven and capable of independent work and decision-making. PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Hands-on experience in RTL coding and IP RTL integration. Strong understanding of SoC concepts like clocking, reset, boot, power management flows, low power techniques, and security. Expertise in quality checks such as CDC, Lint, VCLP, LEC. - Responsible for design and development of highly sophisticated communications products for professional and mission critical markets. Specifically, the role is an Mechanical HW engineer to develop Mechanical Sub-Systems to meet stringent MIL-STD / ETSI Specifications. - Ability to work with a team of highly qualified engineers to generate the overall design concept for the mechanical system to meet the safety thermal requirements for product specific which may include detailed design of the mechanical components using CAD tool i.e plastic parts, sheet metal stampings, castings, rubber and elastomers.
- Familiar with integrating process between Electrical Hardware and Software team, in particular Electro-Mechanical components that require hardware and software controls during the period of product development.
- Provide sound engineering analysis for design optimization utilizing finite/boundary element analysis, computational fluid dynamics and mathematical modeling tools etc
- Establish correlation between simulation and experimental data to ensure high level of confidence in determining optimum design approach through DFSS Framework
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Master's Degree or Doctorate (PhD) in Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent.
- At least 3-5 year(s) of working experience in new product design/development environment
- Attain good debug skills with simulation test-benches and hardware emulation as well as provide functional verification, and manufacturing support.

Perform design of electro-mechanical part (brackets, stiffeners, faceplates, heat-sink etc.) and product packaging. Sourcing and work with part suppliers throughout the prototype verification in a fast-paced mode. Submit ECO approval for the prototype design and record change to start fabrication of first article samples. Work with the Manufacturing team and part suppliers throughout the tooling modification during first article sample preparation. Coordinate construction of first articles for the new packaging until drop test completion. Coordinate construction of PPAP report new mechanical parts. Design, assemble and maintain functional test hardware for production usage. Review and evaluate vendors performance to fabricate tooling or to carry out low-cost changes. What skills and experiences are we looking: Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Strong knowledge in mechanism or automation design, minimum of five (5) years’ experience in an engineering role. Senior/Mechanical Design Engineer

Bayan Lepas, Penang . As a Senior/Mechanical Design R&D Engineer, You will: Author and update controlled drawings (pack out, Step file, etc.), design change, correction of instruction in Agile. Perform design of electro-mechanical part (brackets, stiffeners, faceplates, heat-sink etc.) and product packaging. Sourcing and work with part suppliers throughout the prototype verification in a fast-paced mode. Submit ECO approval for the prototype design and record change to start fabrication of first article samples. Work with the Manufacturing team and part suppliers throughout the tooling modification during first article sample preparation. Coordinate construction of first articles for the new packaging until drop test completion. Coordinate construction of PPAP report new mechanical parts. Design, assemble and maintain functional test hardware for production usage. Review and evaluate vendors performance to fabricate tooling or to carry out low-cost changes. What skills and experiences are we looking: Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Strong knowledge in mechanism or automation design, minimum of five (5) years’ experience in an engineering role. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Knowledge and experience in plastic, Sheetmetal and rubber parts will be advantageous Proficiency with engineering design programs such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, and Rhino Familiarity with Geometric, Dimension and Tolerance (GD&T) and understanding CMM measurement. - Responsible for design and development of highly sophisticated communications products for professional and mission critical markets. Specifically, the role is an Mechanical HW engineer to develop Mechanical Sub-Systems to meet stringent MIL-STD / ETSI Specifications. This includes bi-material processing development in areas of battery door design, back housing design, etc.
- Ability to work with a team of highly qualified engineers to generate the overall design concept for the mechanical system to meet the safety thermal requirements for product specific which may include detailed design of the mechanical components using CAD tool i.e plastic parts, sheet metal stampings, castings, rubber and elastomers.
- Familiar with integrating process between Electrical Hardware and Software team, in particular Electro-Mechanical components that require hardware and software controls during the period of product development.
- Provide sound engineering analysis for design optimization utilizing finite/boundary element analysis, computational fluid dynamics and mathematical modeling tools etc
- Establish correlation between simulation and experimental data to ensure high level of confidence in determining optimum design approach through DFSS Framework
- Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Master's Degree or Doctorate (PhD) in Engineering (Mechanical) or equivalent.
- At least 3-5 year(s) of working experience in new product design/development environment
- Attain good debug skills with simulation test-benches and hardware emulation as well as provide functional verification, and manufacturing support.
- Ability to utilize latest CAD tools such as Pro/Engineer and simulation tools such as ABAQUS, ANSYS, CFDesign, Icepak and ProMechanica in product design and development.
- Ability to work independently
- Good oral and written communication skills.
- Must be team-focused and highly self-motivated with a desire to explore new approaches and technology
- Experience with Scrum/Agile/SAFe development methodologies will be added advantages
- Experience with Motorola DFSS and 6-sigma methodologies will be added advantages

- Active participation to enhance the flow from the front end (pre-layout) to the back end (post-layout) at both chip level and block level.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical and/or Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or any related discipline.
- Good understanding of Digital Logic, VHDL/RTL representation, Verilog
- Good scripting skills in Perl, Tcl, Python to handle and optimize CAD automation flow
- Experience with Synopsys EDA tools: Fusion Compiler, Primetime, IC Validator, VC Low-Power
- Experience with Cadence EDA tools: Innovus, Tempus, Virtuoso, Conformal Low-Power
Additional Skills:
- Experience in advance FinFET process nodes and below (16nm, 12nm, 7nm, 5nm, 3nm), including low-power methodology
- Expertise in analyzing and converging crosstalk delay, noise glitch, and electrical/manufacturing rules in deep-sub-micron processes.

This is a full-time on-site role for a Physical Design Engineer at XinPal Semi in Penang, Malaysia. The Physical Design Engineer will be responsible for tasks such as physical verification, logic design, circuit design, and RTL design on a day-to-day basis.
Domain Expertise:

- Execute floor-planning and placement and routing tasks for advanced tech nodes (16nm/7nm/5nm/4nm/3nm).
- STA (Static Timing Analysis): Expertise in identifying and resolving timing violations using appropriate timing constraints.
- Synthesis and Constraints: Deep understanding of synthesis flows and timing constraints management.
- Identify and solve Calibre DRC/LVS issues efficiently.
