Manage the daily operations (invoicing, payments, banking and other transactions) of the Finance Department of the Company Perform monthly closing and prepare monthly management accounts as well as quarterly results for announcement to Bursa Malaysia Securities Berhad Group consolidation and Bursa Malaysia reporting Liaise closely with the external and internal auditors, tax agent, company secretary, bankers and authorities in relation to the relevant matters Ensure compliance with the relevant accounting standards and policies as well as government regulations Familiar and hands-on in preparing materials for Board Meeting Strengthen internal control and improve financial systems, policies and procedures Assist Management in relation to any ad-hoc matters
Job Requirements
Professional qualifications (MIA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA, ICAEW or equivalent) is mandatory Minimum eight (8) years of relevant experience, with at least three (3) years in managerial position, preferably with an audit firm or a listed company Strong knowledge of accounting standards, Bursa Malaysia reporting and corporate governance practices Proficient in written and spoken English A team-player and communicates well with colleagues from all levels Strong analytical skills, resourceful, organized, meticulous, responsible, good problem-solving skills and committed to meeting deadlines Vacancy is opened to Malaysian only

Provide financial plans, commercial analysis, and risk management recommendations for daily operation.
Manage all financial and accounting matters, including reconciliation, monthly financial returns, management accounts, daily cash flow management (including liquid capital management and monitoring).
Setting up financial and internal control systems for the team.
Ensure financial compliance in the company’s financial processes and contracts.
What you have Degree in finance, accounting, or a relevant field
10+ years of managerial experience, preferably handling a team of more than 5
Solid understanding in accounting standards, best practices and taxation regulations
Expertise in complex financial accounting process and procedures
Proficiency in financial management software
Ability to strategise and solve problems with an analytical mindset
Strong leadership and organisational skills
Excellent spoken and written English communication skills

About The Role
Responsible to ensure all required financial reporting and analysis are provided to Integrated Reporting Finance or other parties within AIA Group timely, accurately, without compromising on the quality and in accordance to AIA Group accounting policies and its related regulations.
Provide timely support of the Group’s financial reporting functions (such as day to day accounting function, financial statements preparation, provide support to local business units on financial reporting related tasks).
Review and consolidate submissions from local business units for various for external and internal reporting requirements such as IFRS, EV, HKRBC, LCSM, HKFRS, Bermuda or management reporting. Ensure all required financial reporting and analysis are provided to Group Office timely, accurately, without compromising on the quality and in accordance to AIA Group accounting policies and its related regulations. Ensure information received from the local business units complies with Group standards for both financial and management reporting. Prepare analytical review, accounting journals, consolidation workings, reporting deliverables, Group announcement and financial statements in accordance to the AIA policies and external and internal reporting requirements. Support Group Office and local business units on relevant Group financial reporting and analysis matters by providing timely and satisfactory response on all queries to enable business decisions. Support various Group financial reporting related initiatives and coordinate with various departments in Group Office and local business units on rolling out of the initiatives. Support the Manager to develop and recommend areas for enhancements and improvements for the current systems and processes to meet the challenges and needs of stakeholders. Assist in projects for any development, design, and implementation of new processes, controls and functionally changes to existing systems to improve current processes, controls and overall effectiveness of the team. Responsible to update Business Process Manuals, Control Checklist and Training Materials as and when new enhancement identified, implemented and communicated, and at least on an annual basis. Performs other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by supervisor in order to meet financial reporting and/or other requirements.
Job Requirements
Degree holder in Accountancy with professional qualification in ACCA or equivalent Minimum 6 years of relevant work experience gained within a multinational environment with regional exposure and/or accounting and auditing experiences in a big-size accounting firm Experience with insurance and financial services industries preferred Knowledge of IFRS especially IFRS 9 preferred Knowledge of systems e.g. SAP / BPC preferred

Deep knowledge of international accounting standards (e.g., IFRS), tax regulations, and best practices
Demonstrated expertise in complex financial reporting processes, consolidations, and control systems
Proficiency in financial management systems (e.g., Sage Intacct, Oracle NetSuite, SAP, or equivalent)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with strategic thinking
Exceptional leadership, organisational, and communication skills
A recognised professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CA) is a plus
Exposure to investor-facing or audit-heavy roles in a plus
