Publicis Groupe, is looking for an experienced Rights Management Coordinator (or someone with similar, Business Affairs-related experience) to join us as part of the ‘CaST’ team.
The Rights Management Coordinator is a newly created position with the aim of coordinating all rights management activity across the entire APAC region. This will include, but not be limited to, the successful administration and coordination of all licensed IP rights data for origination and localised projects. Working closely with regional offices, this role will bring much needed standardisation protocols via compliance, governance and automated IP rights tracking.
Reporting into the Head of Business Affairs, Global and with a dotted line to the APAC Ops Lead, the successful candidate will play a key role as part of an essential and growing BA team; together with colleagues in London and New York.
Responsibilities
- Build and develop successful relationships with the regional CaST teams spread throughout the APAC region; primarily with Production Planners, Producers, Ops Leads, and the other BA departments.
- Maintain a detailed overview of a busy production pipeline spread across four key regional areas; ISC / SEAT / N.ASIA / ANZ
- Create accurate production records (working closely with Production teams) in our rights management platform for all new origination projects
- Query and review primary factsheet information, investigating any errors/missing info and ensuring that each job is closed correctly for onward management to BA
- Liaise with Production Planners and other team members to maintain and update rights records when any extensions or renewals are progressed
- Utilise various workflow tools to link rights data for local adaptation assets with subsequent locally produced assets via new automation procedures
- Work closely with each APAC market to become the key contact for any origination, adaptation or localisation queries relating to rights management.
- Collaborate with colleagues globally to improve efficiencies in process and all areas of the production, rights management and onward tracking process.
- Have responsibility for any ad-hoc projects as they arise and function as the key BA spokesperson in the region (with support of Head of BA / APAC Ops Lead)
- Assist in growing the BA team in the region and capitalising on this first hire for the team.
Qualifications
- Approx 3 years of experience in either Rights Management / Business Affairs / Project Administration but ideally from the advertising or marketing sector
- Strong knowledge of the complexity of IP rights including the administration, tracking and required management procedures for safe operations
- Attention to detail must be second nature; extremely well organised with an understanding of the importance of accuracy in this field.
- Project management experience involving numerous complex projects across different time zones and markets with a wide variety of professional relationships.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex information clearly and accurately to a range of stakeholders at all levels.
- A team player that is keen to try a ‘hands-on’ role in an expanding organisation and experience different facets of the business.
