Job Description
- Guide Product Design outcomes and set direction across teams.
- When necessary, be hands-on in designing flows and experiences.
- Manage, mentor and lead a team of Product Designers, setting standards and best practices so that work is consistent.
- Ensure we build the right solutions - addressing value, usability, feasibility and viability, and any necessary trade-offs with minimal waste, while safeguarding goals.
- Defend design decisions and convince partners and stakeholders while at the same time ensuring that decisions are made in the best interest of the company.
- Guide collaboration across domains, functions and teams; facilitate their agreement and efficiencies by increasing discussions, workshops and exploration.
- Guide problem exploration, solution discovery and solution delivery across teams; display autonomy to work and navigate complexity independently.
- Be a force multiplier by helping your designers deliver better work.
- Develop problem-framing approaches, establishing new starting points that lead to new kinds of solutions, not just execution, across teams.
- Design simple solutions to complex problems; knit together multiple 'products' in an experience and unlocking new value.
- Produce visual designs that elevates the quality, consistency, and credibility of user experiences.
- Use a variety of prototyping tools and methods to create interactive and realistic prototypes with complex functionality.
- Design new experiences or layouts that evolve and define visual systems.
A Successful Lead Product Designer Should Have
- Candidate should possess a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science / Art & Design / Creative Multimedia / Industrial Design / Graphic Design / Human-Centered Design or User Experience (UX) / Mechanical Engineering / Environmental Design or Sustainable Design
- Candidate must have worked with Agile frameworks before, collaborating with Product Managers, Software Engineers and stakeholders.
- Preferably at least 7 years of related working experience.

We're looking for a Product Designer who obsesses over clarity, simplicity, and building for scale. You'll be responsible for end-to-end product design, from wireframes to polished UI, working closely with product managers and engineers to craft solutions that are both delightful and impactful.

Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and researchers to define problems and solve them with great UX. Create wireframes, prototypes, user flows, and polished UI designs. Conduct usability testing, gather feedback, and iterate quickly. Contribute to and evolve our design system for consistency and scalability. Advocate for the user and ensure their needs are at the center of every decision.

Requirements 3-5 years of experience in product design with a portfolio showcasing web/mobile products. Proficiency in Figma and prototyping tools. Familiarity with user research, testing, and agile product teams. Strong understanding of layout, hierarchy, spacing, and interaction design. Based in Malaysia and open to hybrid work from HQ.

As a Product Design Lead, you will be responsible for building a team in a player-coach capacity – contributing to a design strategy, crafting exceptional experiences and scaling your impact by growing the people under you. You will collaborate closely with leaders across the business, executing end-to-end design initiatives.
What will you do?
The Product Design Lead supports trading platforms for the capital markets business. This is one of the most valuable areas in the company and the hiring standards will reflect that:
Responsibilities
- Hire Senior Designers and create an environment where they can thrive.
- Set quality standards for the team.
- Rapidly iterate on designs based on feedback from end users.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams of product managers, traders, engineers, and executive leaders to drive complex, strategic initiatives.
- Communicate complex information using interaction design tools, including user flows, wireframes, etc.
- Create prototypes, presentations, and videos to showcase product vision and get buy-in from key stakeholders.
- Contribute to an existing design system to ensure consistency across our applications and improve the experience across the trading universe.
- 5+ years of design management experience.
- Experience working with cross functional teams in shipping transactional experiences.
- Strong visual eye / background in visual design.
- Portfolio with link & password. If the portfolio is not accessible the candidate will not be considered.
- Working knowledge of HTML, CSS & Javascript.
- Familiarity with Design Thinking methodology.
- Experience in capital markets, or finance.

What You Will Do
- Support NPDs, MODs, standard options, and legacy product maintenance
- Manage and deliver assigned engineering projects successfully
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop customer-aligned solutions
- Coordinate multiple projects with Engineering, Manufacturing, AQP, Tooling, and Reliability
- Lead technical efforts to meet design and production requirements
- Create and maintain models, drawings, specs, DVP&Rs, and test documentation
- Develop expertise in assigned product families (e.g., PSD, PDD, PK, PS, AS, TS)
- Organize and prioritize tasks independently with supervision as needed
- Align daily activities with organizational goals and the PBM framework
- Manage engineering changes through ECRs and ECNs
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field
- Fundamental understanding of Product Design & Development principles
- Knowledge of material selection for plastic and metal components, considering mechanical, thermal, electrical, and environmental factors
- Basic grasp of Electrical Engineering concepts
- Familiarity with SAP and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems
- Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to lead and contribute to virtual meetings
- Self-motivated and quick learner, able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Skilled in planning and following project timelines, including contingency planning
- Proficient in data analysis and problem-solving
- Ability to build strong collaboration, communicate effectively, and contribute to positive team dynamics
- Awareness of Agile and Scrum methodologies

As the Lead Product Designer at Finexus, you will own Product Design outcomes - owning quality & excellence across these teams. - Candidate should possess a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in Computer Science / Art & Design / Creative Multimedia / Industrial Design / Graphic Design / Human-Centered Design or User Experience (UX) / Mechanical Engineering / Environmental Design or Sustainable Design
- Candidate must have worked with Agile frameworks before, collaborating with Product Managers, Software Engineers and stakeholders.
