The Subject Matter Expert (SME) – ERP will play a critical role in supporting the organization's ERP system by providing deep expertise in functional and/or technical ERP modules (e.g., Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, HR, etc.). The SME will contribute to the success of the ERP transformation by bridging business needs with system capabilities, supporting end-to-end implementation, and championing best practices across departments.
Job Responsibility
- Act as the go-to expert for specific ERP modules or business processes.
- Collaborate with business units to understand needs and translate them into ERP system solutions.
- Provide input into ERP design, configuration, testing, deployment, and support activities.
- Conduct gap analysis and recommend best-fit solutions to business problems within the ERP landscape.
- Support ERP project lifecycle from planning through post-implementation support.
- Partner with IT and third-party vendors for issue resolution, enhancements, and upgrades.
- Develop and maintain documentation for ERP processes, workflows, and procedures.
- Provide training, guidance, and support to end users and stakeholders.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and recommend system improvements.
- Ensure ERP processes comply with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
Job Requirements
- 8+ years of hands-on experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite).
- Project management experience or familiarity with Agile methodology.
- Deep knowledge of at least one core ERP module (Finance, Procurement, Inventory, HR, etc.).
- Strong understanding of business processes and ability to map them into ERP solutions.
- Experience in ERP implementation, migration, or major upgrade projects is a plus.
- Experience with integration technologies (e.g., APIs, middleware).
- Familiarity with change management and user adoption strategies.
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking.
- Excellent stakeholder management and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a cross-functional team environment.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Ability to learn and adapt quickly to new ERP features, upgrades, and emerging technologies.
- Patience and resilience when dealing with change resistance, troubleshooting, or user support.

Job Summary
The Global Payroll Equity and Tax Compliance Subject Matter Expert is responsible for ensuring the timely, accurate, and compliant processing of global equity, taxable fringe benefits, and expatriate payroll transactions across multiple time zones and systems, while leveraging the GBS Center teams.
In this role, you will collaborate with internal stakeholders and vendors who handle employment tax calculations, payroll processing, reporting and tax disbursements. You will ensure the integrity of payroll information posted to the general ledger and support payroll management for audit activities, including SOC1 reporting. Additionally, you will provide subject-matter expertise to support the day-to-day operations of the global payroll organization, including mergers and acquisitions (M&A) transactions.
- Partners with HR and Legal to deliver stock-based compensation programs by preparing option exercises, RSUs and ESPP for proper payroll reporting and tax withholding.
- Validate and approve periodic tax returns provided by third party tax providers, as necessary.
- Applies specialist knowledge and skills to oversee employment tax activities that are recorded accurately and effectively, such as tax registration, statutory filing, on-time deposits, and financial reporting performed by the GBS Center teams.
- Perform routine audits for payroll calculation methodologies and tests payroll system updates as part of the ongoing compliance review.
- Coordinates internal/external audit inquiries and SOX / 404 controls documentation and compliance.
- Navigate complex situations, recognize problematic areas, and take necessary action to deliver remittance on schedule in coordination with third-party vendors.
- Provides in-depth analysis of policies to ensure accurate application of earnings, deductions and taxable events align with regulatory, relevant plan documents, and internal policy guidance.
- Business continuity back up for regional team leader roles as necessary.
- Acts as the Project Lead for cyclical payroll-related projects and acquisitions.
- Support GBS payroll teams and RTR accountants to ensure payroll withholding accounts are reconciled.
- Continuous evaluation and improvement mindset by evaluating existing work processes by implementing lean methodology to ensure the most effective use of resources and drive operational excellence.
- Builds and nurtures strong working relationships with all levels across the organization, third party providers, and others to resolve issues.

Expected Areas of Competence

- Advanced mathematical and data modeling skills using excel formulas, such as v-lookup, pivot tables, and filtering.
- Ability to multi-task, meet strict deadlines, solve problems, and work under pressure.

Education/ Experience Requirements
- Payroll Certifications Preferred (CPP, CIPP, CPM, PDL)
- Experience with ADP GlobalView, SuccessFactors EC
- Advanced degrees in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
- 5-7 years’ experience with a large multinational organization, preferably within payroll, accounting or equity functions.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Serve as a technical resource for simple to moderately complex issues relating to financial related systems and tools, deferring to more senior team members on more complex issues.
- Support Site finance with any month end activities including, but not exclusively, relating to SAP, TM1 & myAnalytics. Help to ensure a successful and timely close.
- Support users in questions of moderate scope that require analysis and research of a variety of factors to solve.
- Coordinate and facilitate training for the plant in terms of new hires, new functionality and upgrades.
- Communicate all changes/enhancements to existing systems including upgrades to current systems.
- Understand standardized departmental functions, processes, procedures, and systems.
- Evaluate business systems and troubleshoot areas of concern.
- Introduce and support corporate provided/designed tools.
- Evaluate and monitor the current processes and tools to determine their ability to meet business needs.
- Provide support for the plant(s) for all system tools and related issues.
- Identify opportunities for enhancements.
- Detail requirements for enhancements with respect to more routine business development requests (via PR’s – Product Request) submitted by a functional area.
- Assist in the testing, validation, and rollout processes for new functionality, to include plant level training.
- Define and/or document business processes, policies and work instructions.
- Works under moderate supervision, receiving guidance on more complex issues from more senior team members. Exercises a moderate degree of discretion but relies on detailed instruction on complex or new projects or assignments.
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
- Excellent communication skills as well as communicating within a multi-cultural, multi-functional environment
- Strong knowledge of Financial Systems, SAP, BW, TM1, myAnalytics & Controller
- Strong understanding of Jabil Financial Reporting process and policies
- Strong understanding of corporate and/or plant finance processes within Jabil.
- Knowledge of Jabil P&L Structure
- Advanced knowledge of SAP FICO a plus
- Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma Methodologies a plus
- Knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), country-specific GAAP or other multi-country accounting experience is preferred, but not required.
- Proficiency in use of personal computers, Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word and PowerPoint) and e-mail skills required.

As a Employee Lifecycle Management Subject Matter Expert, you are responsible for coordinating complex P&C requests and being the internal escalation point for the ELM Specialists and Senior Specialist. In this role, you will be delivering training on systems, tools and processes, ensuring quality data maintenance by regular checks and assisting implementing corrective actions. In this position you will ensure that all relevant process documentation is up to date. The ELM SME also focuses on projects, system testing and continuous improvement initiatives.

Ensure consistent and reliable service delivery to customers, implementing processes for continuous improvement, and aligning service quality with the global People Support Solutions objectives
