Job Specification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
- Certification in PMP, SCRUM Master, PRINCE2 and/or ACP is preferred
- Min 15 years as Programme/ Project Manager managing large scale projects in banks/ FIs with successful IT projects implementation track record
- Has run project values more than RM5 millions
- Experience in managing multi programmes/projects in dynamic and complex environment

Project Manager, Professional Services – Asia
We’re seeking a proactive and experienced Project Manager to join our Professional Services team in Asia. In this role, you’ll be responsible for leading the successful delivery of customer projects, from scoping through to completion. Working across a range of strategic and technical engagements, you’ll help ensure our customers achieve their desired outcomes while aligning delivery with business priorities, timelines, and budgets.
Key Objectives
Deliver Projects to Scope, Time, and Budget Lead the planning and execution of Professional Services engagements, managing schedules, resources, risks, and financial performance to ensure successful project delivery.
Drive Stakeholder Engagement and Communication Act as the central point of contact for customers and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle. Maintain strong communication, ensure issues are resolved swiftly, and align delivery with stakeholder expectations.
Lead Coordination Across Regional Teams and Partners Integrate project delivery across Commvault teams, partners, and support functions. Provide leadership to ensure logistics, resources, and timelines are aligned.
Contribute to Delivery Excellence and Continuous Improvement Maintain detailed project documentation, adopt standard delivery frameworks, and help enhance overall service performance across the Asia region.
How You Will Make An Impact
- Own project delivery across the full lifecycle – from planning and scheduling through to close-out, ensuring customer success across multiple markets in Asia.
- Coordinate and lead internal and partner resources to deliver Professional Services activities according to scope and budget.
- Develop and maintain project artefacts, including delivery plans, risk registers, RAID logs, and status reports.
- Act as the key contact for all project-related matters, ensuring consistent stakeholder engagement and transparent communication.
- Deliver timely written and verbal updates to customers and internal teams, including project status, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Facilitate effective collaboration with Technical Consultants, Solutions Architects, and Commvault support teams to resolve delivery issues.
- Balance customer and Commvault objectives by understanding both sides of the engagement and managing accordingly.
- Assist with pre-sales activities by supporting scoping, effort estimation, and defining engagement milestones.
- Contribute to delivery frameworks and processes to continuously improve team effectiveness across Asia.

Position Summary:
The Technical Project Manager, or known as Engineering Delivery Manager within Thales, is responsible for leading the project team and delivering the project within committed budgets, schedules, quality and performance for successful bids and projects delivery. The candidate coordinates and monitors the implementation of all engineering tasks throughout the whole life cycle of a bid/project.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure engineering activities are well managed within constraints of bids/projects, approved architecture, design policy, contracts, and company quality requirements.
- Lead collaborative discussion and co-engineering between internal teams, vendors and customers to analyse, prioritise and validate stakeholders' requirements.
- Ensure that engineering scope, plans and activities satisfy customer requirements, and are delivered on time, on budget and with the required quality.
- Work closely with Design Authority to oversee and approve the outcome of evaluation studies on design alternatives, and to provide advice to both the customer and internal technical teams.
- Through broad consultation, ensure the production of the required documentation in support of the project, to the satisfaction of the customer and internal senior management.
- Liaise with customers on technical, architectural and procedural issues as required, ensure that scope creep is avoided.
- Define the engineering work breakdown structure, project organisation structure, tasks schedule, engineering KPIs, and associated engineering tasks. Tailor as required and ensure all baseline requirements are met.
- Define the strategy for development, build increments, validation, and project commissioning.
- Follow up closely on defined KPIs and ensure issues discovered (such as risks of changes, schedule, anomalies, etc) are addressed promptly according to different project phases.
- Perform periodic reporting to internal senior management and customer according to Thales methodology (Chorus) and common methods such as SAFe/SCRUM.
- Ensure the implementation of multi-project synergies and lessons learnt, in order to optimize cost of technical solutions.
- Manage engineering risks & opportunities during bids and project phase, guarantees programme commitments, including those flown down to subcontractors and partners.
- Optimise technical work against costs, schedule and risks from design to validation and acceptance of the solution.
- Develop and implement policies, standards and procedures for the engineering and technical work performed, in conjunction with the functional Engineering Head or Director.
- Manages Work Package Managers (WPM) and Integration Verification, Validation and Qualification (IVVQ) Manager to ensure successful completion of respective milestones.
- Other duties as directed by the Project Manager or functional Engineering Head.
