Description and RequirementsRole Overview
As a Finance Risk Manager, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously improving Lenovo’s finance risk management framework. You will drive the development of risk management playbooks, standardize risk processes, and ensure effective governance across all finance functions. This role requires a strong understanding of risk identification, assessment, and mitigation, as well as experience in coordinating cross-functional teams and embedding a robust risk culture.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive finance risk management framework and playbook, aligned with COSO ERM principles and Lenovo’s business objectives.
- Establish clear risk ownership, roles, and responsibilities (R&R) across finance, ensuring accountability and escalation protocols.
- Coordinate with the central risk governance team to ensure consistency with corporate risk management policies and guidelines.
- Lead annual reviews and updates of risk policies, procedures, and delegated authorities (DOA/SOD).
- Identify, profile, and assess financial risks (credit, operational, compliance, fraud, etc.) using both qualitative and quantitative methods.
- Drive the linkage of risk insights (e.g., QFDP findings) with financial planning, accounting, and business strategy.
- Develop and monitor key risk indicators (KRIs) and risk dashboards for regular reporting to finance leadership and executive committees.
- Coordinate and support internal and external audits, regulatory reviews, and compliance checks.
- Risk Process & Controls
- Standardize end-to-end risk management processes, including risk identification, assessment, mitigation, reporting, and escalation.
- Facilitate risk deep-dives and scenario analysis on emerging risks, supporting crisis management and business continuity planning.
- Ensure robust control frameworks are in place, with regular testing and validation of process control points.

We provide risk transformation, data and modeling solutions focusing on some of the unique and complex issues our clients are facing in finance. Advise our clients how to optimize compliance programs, standardize processes and transform compliance to protect their value across the business, while building great visibility, efficiency and confidence for the future.
You will work alongside our clients to bring a rigorous, evidence based analytical capability to help them solve pressing and complex issues. This includes revealing insight and delivering value through pragmatic and actionable recommendations. You will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with our clients to understand the forces that are driving change, identifying opportunities and develop solutions across the whole organization.
The nature of the work we do includes:
- Engage with clients to understand business goals, provide advisory support, and proactively address technical and functional challenges while effectively supporting presentations and demonstrations.
- Build strong relationships with senior client stakeholders to consistently exceed expectations.
- Independently gather and analyze client requirements, developing tailored business solutions.
- Provide expertise on risk management technologies, methodologies, and regulatory frameworks (e.g. Basel, IFRS9, Liquidity, Credit Risk, Market Risk, Operational Risk, Banking Regulations, etc), while developing, maintaining, and enhancing quantitative risk models to ensure accuracy and regulatory alignment.

- Support project management activities, including scope definition, planning, execution, and delivery.
