Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Operates more complex production machinery in accordance with prints and specifications provided.
• Performs different activities that produces the required quantity of parts within established specifications and tolerances.
• Measures finished parts with precision tools, ensuring compliance with function, quality, and cosmetic specifications.
• Maintains logs and records of units produced.
• Report any errors resulting in rejected or discarded pieces.
• Inspects equipment prior to use to ensure proper setup and alignment; performs some non-routine adjustments and maintenance.
• Maintains a clean, safe, and orderly work area.
• Follow safety regulations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
  
  

• Typically possesses a high school diploma (or equivalent) and 2-4 years of relevant experience.
  
  

• Demonstrated ability to follow directions and work well in a team.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret and translate job specifications for production machineries.

• Operate and maintain laser cutting, turret punching, and bending machines in accordance with safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and work orders to determine job specifications and requirements.
• Set up machines with the necessary tools, materials, and settings for production runs.
• Monitor machine operations to ensure precision and quality, making adjustments as needed.
• Perform routine maintenance on machines and report any malfunctions or issues to the supervisor.
• Follow production schedules and meet daily output targets in line with Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) set by management.
• Track and report production metrics such as cycle time, downtime, and machine efficiency.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure consistent quality and minimize rework or scrap.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing machine performance and reducing waste.
• Ensure workstations and the shop floor are kept clean and organized.
• Comply with all health, safety, and environmental regulations in the work environment.
• Perform any other duties or tasks as assigned by the superior from time to time.

Requirements:

• Minimum SPM or equivalent education.
• At least two years of experience in sheet metal fabrication or a related field.
• Proficiency in operating machines such as laser cutters, turret punches, and bending machines.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work orders.
• Strong attention to detail and quality control.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Good problem-solving skills and ability to make quick adjustments.
• Physically capable of handling shop conditions, including moderate noise levels and exposure to metal dust particles.

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and troubleshooting of machines.
• Load, refill, and restock vending machines with products as required.
• Maintain accurate records of stock levels, sales data, and machine servicing.
• Report technical issues and coordinate repairs with the technical team.
• Ensure cleanliness and proper appearance of machines at all times.
• Adhere to safety standards and company protocols while handling machines and products.
