Job Description

  • Recruit and Onboard new hires Conduct performance management and provide feedback Manage Payroll and benefits for employees
  • Develop and implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with the overall business strategy

Qualifications

Customer Engagement:
  • Engage directly with clients to understand their specific technical requirements and provide tailored solutions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring customer satisfaction.
Sales Support:
  • Collaborate with the broader sales team to develop and implement effective sales strategies.
  • Assist in identifying new business opportunities and contribute to building a robust sales pipeline.
Technical discussions:
  • Leverage in-depth technical knowledge of our Industrial SaaS and its applications in oil & gas domain to conduct technical discussions with clients and convince clients of our value proposition.
  • Provide on-site technical support to clients and partners, ensuring seamless implementation and integration.
Partner Sales Collaboration:
  • Work closely with partner sales teams to help achieve their sales goals and objectives.
  • Support partners in incorporating our software solutions into their sales motions effectively.
Coaching:
  • Coach and mentor partner sales teams, imparting technical knowledge and sales strategies.
  • Conduct knowledge transfer sessions to empower partners with the skills required for successful sales engagements.
Collaboration with product organization:
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our software solutions based on field feedback.

Qualifications and key criteria

  • A minimum of Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field (e.g., Computer Science, Engineering).
  • Experience in technical sales within the industrial software sector is desirable.
  • Strong understanding of industrial processes and the ability to communicate technical concepts effectively.
  • Excellent presentation and coaching skills.
  • Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Proficiency in English is a requirement.
  • Located in Americas, middle east or southeast Asia, but other regions will be considered for highly qualified candidates.
  • Ability to travel/internationally and regionally 30-60% of the time.

Job Description

  • Support and monitor key engineering and construction (EPC) projects led by Korean contractors
  • Serve as the main point of contact with local clients, subcontractors, government agencies, and project partners
  • Actively manage and resolve project-related issues and keep the HQ team informed with clear updates
  • Conduct market research to identify potential business opportunities in the oil & gas and petrochemical sectors
  • Assist with proposal development, contract bidding, and documentation processes
  • Build strong networks with industry bodies and local authorities
  • Regularly share market insights and local project developments with the HQ team


The Successful Applicant

A successful Senior Sales Executive - Oil & Gas should have:

Must-Have

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience in the refining, petrochemical, or related industrial sectors
  • Strong English communication skills-both written and spoken
  • Proven ability to coordinate across teams, cultures, and stakeholders
  • Self-motivated, organized, and results-oriented


Nice-to-Have

  • Prior experience working with Petronas or its affiliates
  • Familiarity with Korean or international EPC firms
  • Understanding of Malaysia's petrochemical or energy project landscape
  • Ability to speak Malay or Korean
  • Experience in permits, contract bidding, or vendor management

Your role and responsibilities

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead marketing and sales activities related to products, systems, and services within the defined industry segments, for the assigned area. Each day, you will ensure that the division and related sales units substantially improve their sales, margins, market share, and customer satisfaction in the selected market segments. You will also showcase your expertise by developing and implementing a market-based strategy including direct, third party, and project sales and enhancing cross-division and cross-region business-led collaborations for the specific market segment.The work model for the role is: #hybridThis role is contributing to the Process Automation Measurement & Analytics in Malaysia.You will be mainly accountable for:• Leading the segment team members and reinforces global sales efficiency and performance.• Building relationships with key external influencers/key customers and leverages ABB’s strengths to capture new business opportunities.• Driving and ensuring knowledge sharing and cross-division and cross-country collaborations.• Activating operation intelligence, benchmarking, and analysis to identify industry segment trends, practices, product gaps, competitor strategy, etc.

Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Instrumentation Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 8 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry, with strong exposure to automation, electrification, or process control solutions.
  • Proven track record in business development, key account management, or segment leadership.
  • Strong understanding of industry standards, safety regulations, and project lifecycles.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-starter with strategic thinking and the ability to drive initiatives independently.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.

Responsibilities
  1. Coordinate and prepare Monthly Financial report for Cased Hole Logging division to Senior Manager, Head of Finance Department for consolidation (Green Book & Blue book) and to monitor overall financial for Cased Hole Logging Division.
  2. Monitor and update invoices and collections promptly via AR tracker on daily basis.
  3. Monitor Cased Hole Logging division’s Purchase Order budget form for receipt of supplier invoices and related payments to be issued for the division.
  4. Monitor expenses and all transactions for the Cased Hole Logging division to ensure all within budget.
  5. Verify Purchase Order for the Cased Hole Logging division to ensure all documentation is complete and within budget.
  6. Monitor and track inventory in the Cased Hole Logging department, ensuring all incoming and outgoing inventory is properly recorded.
  7. Prepare yearly budget and budget revisions for the Cased Hole Logging division.
  8. Coordinate annual Financial report and audit schedules for Auditors.
  9. Review draft audited financial report from auditors.
  10. Review of data captured in the accounting system for the division.
  11. Oversee Finance Executive for asset listing.
Job Requirements
  1. Degree/Professional Degree in Accounting/Finance.
  2. Member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants or equivalent.
  3. At least 2 years in managerial capacity.
  4. Experience in management reporting, costing, budgeting and forecasting.
  5. Experience in consolidation, banking and financing will be an advantage.
  6. Details and result-oriented.
  7. Able to manage and guide junior team members in meeting their responsibilities.
  8. Good understanding of financial, tax reporting and statutory requirements and applicable accounting standards.
  9. Good in English communication and writing skills.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough market research to identify potential business opportunities and trends in the oil & gas industry
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Create and implement strategic business development plans to achieve company goals and objectives.
  • Lead sales efforts, including negotiations and contract management, to secure new business deals.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, operations, and finance, to align business development strategies with overall company goals.
  • Prepare regular reports on business development activities, performance metrics, and market insights for senior management.

Job Requirements:

  • Possess a bachelor’s degree in engineering/ science/ technology or any related studies.
  • At least 5-10 years of experience in Oil & Gas/ Petrochemical or other related industries.
  • Existing Business Development personnel who deal extensively with project owner and EPCC in Oil & Gas/ Petrochemical market in Malaysia, or
  • Project Engineers without sales experience but interested in diverting their career into Sales and Marketing are welcome to apply. Experience working in petrochemical or oil and gas plant construction projects is a must.
  • PMP certification is an added advantage.
  • A go-getter, an easy-going team player and people-oriented person.
  • An analytical and result oriented individual.
  • Possess existing network with PACs
  • Must be willing to travel
