- Digital Growth & Platform Management
- Manage daily operations across all digital platforms: TikTok, IG, FB, YouTube, Telegram.
- Plan and execute digital marketing strategies to generate leads, conversions, and sales.
- Monitor and optimize ad campaigns and performance analytics monthly.
- Content Calendar & Posting Schedule (PIC)
- Develop and manage monthly content calendars for all platforms, ensuring strategic timing, relevance, and campaign alignment.
- Coordinate internal teams and partners to ensure timely asset delivery and uploads.
- Website Monitoring & Updates
- Oversee website content accuracy, uptime, loading speed, and UI/UX enhancements.
- Coordinate with web developers to implement improvements that support sales and user experience.
- Stay ahead with viral content formats, AI tools, video trends, influencer, collaborations, etc.
- Present fresh content concepts and digital tools monthly to elevate brand presence.
- Identify training gaps and source external experts (TikTok, copywriting, Canva, ChatGPT, etc).
- Organize Zoominars, workshop, and share bite-sized digital tutorials with the distributor network.
- Propose ideas with strong CTA hooks tailored to each
- Engage internal and external freelancers, UGC creators, or agencies for content production.
- Marketing Event Involvement
- Work with the events and product tam to ensure digital campaigns are synced with product launches, distributor, events, and roadshows.
- Handle event coverage, social posting plans, and digital lead collection from event traffic.
- Possess at least a Bachelor degree in Marketing, Mass Communication, Digital Media, Advertising, Graphic Design or equivalent.
- Possess at least 2-5 years relevant working experience in digital marketing, content creation, or social media strategy.
- Good copywriting sense, campaign planning skills, and trend awareness.
- Familiar with Meta Ads, TikTok, Google Analytics & Business Suite
- Design skill (Canva, Capcut, Adobe Express, etc.) is an advantage.
- Self-driven, organized, and eager to lead new initiatives.

As the Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive social media plans based on the communication strategy provided by the Marketing Manager. You have a deep understanding of Malaysia’s social media landscape, staying up to date with the latest trends, conversational topics, and cultural moments. Quick to spot and apply relevant trends, you will ensure our content remains fresh, timely, and highly engaging. You will also coordinate content production with creative teams (for visual design) and content creators (for social channels), driving brand awareness and growing CARSOME’s social media presence. Monitoring performance and making data-driven adjustments will be essential to your role as well.
Your Day-to-Day
- Strategy Development: Create and implement full social media strategies aligned with
marketing objectives and overall business goals. - Hands-on Content Creation & Editing: Actively participate in content creation, including
video shooting, photography, and editing, to ensure that content is dynamic, engaging,
and on-trend. Be ready to step in for content editing across platforms as needed,
ensuring timely and high-quality output. - Content Coordination & Execution: Oversee content production across all platforms
(Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, YouTube), working closely with creative teams
for visuals and content creators for platform-specific content. - Community Engagement: Manage online communities by responding to comments,
fostering conversations, and ensuring the brand tone is consistently reflected. - Campaign Implementation: Lead the execution of digital campaigns from start to finish,
aligning them with the marketing calendar and ensuring timely delivery. - Performance Analysis & Reporting: Track key social media metrics, providing insights
and data-driven recommendations for optimizing performance and audience
engagement. - Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate with creative, performance, and PR teams to
ensure all content and messaging remain consistent and aligned with the broader
marketing strategy. - Trend Monitoring & Platform Optimization: Stay current with social media trends, tools,
and platform updates, adapting strategies to maximize reach and engagement. Be quick
to spot relevant trends and incorporate them into content. - Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and guide your social media team, including senior
executives, content creators, and live commerce hosts, to ensure smooth coordination
and execution.
Your Know-How
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
- 4-5 years of experience in social media marketing, with proven success in managing
brand presence across multiple platforms. - Strong knowledge of social media tools and platforms, with practical experience in
creating and editing social media content (video editing, photo editing, graphic design). - Hands-on experience with content creation, including shooting and editing videos and
photos, for platforms like Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. - Proficiency in editing software such as Canva, CapCut, or other tools relevant to social
media content production. - Proven track record of growing and engaging online communities and executing
successful campaigns. - Experience with campaign management and handling paid social media budgets.
- Strong analytical skills to track performance and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with a creative flair for engaging content.
- Leadership experience with the ability to mentor and manage a team while working
collaboratively with other departments. - Up-to-date with social media trends and conversational topics in Malaysia, with the ability
to quickly adapt and incorporate them into content strategies.

Key Responsibilities
- Campaign Execution: Manage social media campaigns from conception through to execution, ensuring the highest quality and adherence to brand strategy.
- Content Development: Generate, edit, and publish engaging daily content (original text, photos, videos, news) and coordinate with content developers.
- Community Management: Engage with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner, and monitor customer reviews to maintain a positive brand presence.
- Performance Analysis: Utilise social media marketing and listening tools to monitor campaigns. Develop detailed reports with well-researched insights, tracking KPIs, SEO, and web traffic metrics.
- Client Relations: Cultivate and grow relationships with key day-to-day clients, anticipating their needs and proactively developing solutions to their marketing challenges.
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including senior management, internal teams, and clients, to ensure project alignment and success.
- Trend & Influencer Research: Perform research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences. Establish relationships with social media influencers to develop a strong network.
Qualifications and Skills
- Approximately 2 years of experience as a Social Media Executive, ideally in an agency setting.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in social media management and integrated campaign execution.
- In-depth knowledge of best practices for Facebook, X (formerly Twitter), Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, and TikTok.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a proven aptitude for crafting engaging content.
- Proficiency in using social listening and analytics platforms to translate data into insightful reports.
- An entrepreneurial spirit, a solution-oriented mindset, and impeccable attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced agency culture and manage multiple client projects.
