As a Senior Data Visualization Engineer , you will play a critical role in designing, developing, and securing the data visualization layers of bp’s enterprise data platforms. You will contribute to platform modernization, performance optimization, and data security, while enabling teams across the organization to make data-driven decisions. This role blends technical execution with strategic impact—working across platform architecture, integration, and governance to bring insights to life.

What You’ll Deliver
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performing data visualizations using modern BI tools.
- Collaborate with data engineers, platform teams, and business stakeholders to transform raw data into actionable insights.
- Support the integration and optimization of visualization tools with cloud-based data platforms.
- Ensure compliance with data governance, privacy, and regulatory standards in all visual outputs.
- Apply CI/CD and Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) principles to streamline dashboard deployment and maintenance.
- Participate in data platform transformation initiatives—enhancing usability, security, and system performance.
- Help define visualization best practices, promote self-service analytics, and contribute to documentation and training.
- Support business continuity efforts by contributing to platform reliability, availability, and resilience.
- Assist in evaluating and implementing new data tools, frameworks, and visualization capabilities.
- Contribute to long-term technical roadmaps focused on visualization scalability and operational efficiency.
Technical Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
- proven experience in data engineering, BI development, or platform operations within large-scale enterprise environments.
- Proficiency with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent.
- Experience with cloud-native platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data tools (e.g., Databricks, BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake).
- Strong SQL and Python skills for data transformation, querying, and automation.
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, DevOps, and Infrastructure-as-Code (e.g., Azure Bicep, AWS CDK).
- Familiarity with big data technologies such as Spark, Kafka, Hadoop, or Flink.
- Understanding of data modeling, warehousing, governance, and distributed system architecture.
- Experience integrating visualization platforms with cloud-based data ecosystems.
- Solid understanding of data pipelines, ingestion processes, and real-time/batch processing.
- Knowledge of enterprise security, identity access control, and compliance requirements.
- Comfort working across multiple cloud environments and managing performance at scale.
- Ability to balance technical detail with business context in delivering meaningful visual insights.
- Experience working in regulated industries or global enterprise environments.
- Knowledge of AI/ML tools used to enhance data visualization and automation.
- Strong communication and storytelling skills to influence data-driven decisions across teams.

Data and Reporting Manager (Remote - Malaysia)
We are seeking an experienced Portfolio Data and Investor Reporting Manager to join our firm remotely from Malaysia.
Role Responsibilities
Investor Reporting
- Lead the end-to-end quarterly/half-yearly investor reporting process for funds managed by the firm, continuously identifying opportunities to streamline and automate workflows
- Collaborate cross-functionally with investment, finance, legal and investor relations teams to gather inputs for investor reporting preparation
- Review quarterly fund and portfolio returns calculations for internal and external reporting, implementing quality control measures and automation where possible
- Support investor relations team in drafting/updating collateral, fund-related materials, AGM presentations, capital call/distribution notices, and quarterly update packs
- Develop bespoke reporting materials for key limited partners, leveraging data visualization and reporting tools
Portfolio Engagement and Reporting
- Establish and maintain regular communication with finance directors or equivalent of portfolio companies to gather insights on financial performance, discuss reporting requirements, and ensure data accuracy
- Conduct quarterly financial review calls with portfolio company finance teams to understand business trends, challenges, and opportunities reflected in their financial reporting
- Oversee comprehensive data collection and tracking of portfolio key financial and performance metrics, implementing AI-powered tools and automated processes where applicable
- Organize and prepare discussion materials using advanced analytics and data visualization
- Lead quarterly portfolio review (QPR) process , ensuring all stakeholders adheres to the process, and tear sheets are completed with both qualitative and quantitative information relevant for discussion
- Champion the portfolio reporting platform (Standard Metrics) , working closely with their product team to provide feedback on improvements, new features, and product roadmap input
- Onboard new portfolio companies to Standard Metrics, including alignment with portfolio managers on requirements and conducting platform demos with founders
Other Reporting Requirements
- Provide accurate fund and portfolio company data to compliance team for quarterly and ad-hoc regulatory reporting
Process Improvement & Technology Integration
- Continuously evaluate and enhance existing reporting processes using AI tools, automation software, and data analytics platforms
- Collaborate with technology vendors and internal teams to optimize reporting systems and workflows
- Stay current with AI developments in financial reporting, data analysis, and portfolio management tools
Experience and Requirements
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in business, finance, accounting or related field
- 8-10+ years of relevant industry experience , preferably in big 4 consultancy or advisory companies.
- Expertise inprocess management andfinancial planning & data analysis (FP&A)
- Track record of process improvement and operational efficiency initiatives
Core Competencies

- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills with prior experience in financial analysis and valuations
