The Financial Analyst will prepare detailed financial analyses, projections, budgets, and valuation models to support strategic initiatives, corporate finance transactions, and due diligence activities. They will also compare actual and budgeted financial data and handle ad-hoc assignments from the Head of Finance. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field, with at least two years of experience in accounting, auditing, or corporate finance. Proficiency in financial analysis and modeling is essential, with a preference for candidates with an audit or corporate finance background.

Job Scope:

• Prepare detailed financial analysis to support strategic initiatives and any related corporate finance transactions.
• Prepare comprehensive financial projections, budgets and valuation models in relation to due diligence, fundraising, mergers and acquisitions and restructuring related activities.
• Prepare actual and budgeted financial data and perform in depth comparison.
• Involved in any other ad-hoc assignments assigned by Head of Finance

Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• 2 - 3 years of working experience in Accounting/Auditing or Corporate Finance-related function.
• Proficiency in financial analysis and modeling.
• Audit/Corporate Finance background is preferred.

• To undertake financial feasibility/business valuation assessment and assist in the execution of all Group M&A-related activities (acquisitions, equity investments, JVs, strategic alliances, divestitures etc), including post-investment integration.
• Strategically offers advice to management and shareholder teams on a large set of financial matters such as acquisition initiatives, potential opportunities, and financial due diligence.
• Establish, defines and prepares GEXCO and Board papers to seek approval on appropriate capital structures for business arrangements while keeping in mind the business needs, risk management taxation, accounting, and legal/policy requirements.

• Highly committed to support the Group’s Investment Committee Secretariat in stress-testing business units’ project cost-benefit analyses to ensure the relevant project’s financial targets are aligned with that under the Group’s Capital Allocation and Financial Framework (“CAF”);
• Lead to coordinate in refining and preparing the report/dashboard to track the progress of all investments/capital spending including JVs to ensure targets under the Group’s CAF are met, for circulation to GEXCO and Board Audit Committee quarterly.

Job Responsibility

• Involve in all corporate exercises including merger, acquisitions and fund raising undertaken by the Group. Assist in corporate exercise formulation, planning and implementation including fund raising, listing exercise, acquisitions of companies and joint ventures to ensure effective implementation and timely completion.
• Involve and assist in investment project analysis for all potential investments for evaluation and decision-making purposes.

• Assist to compile financial information of subsidiary for new banking facilities. Responsible to monitor and submission financial information, insurance policy, audited annual report to bankers at quarterly or annual basis to ensure zero default and in compliance according to the set covenants.
• Coordinate the collation and compilation of information for credit rating review / analysis.
• Review all kind of agreements of the potential investments and highlight the issues in terms of financial and non-financial aspects as well as the implications of the potential investment on the Group.

Oversees Corporate Communications & Reporting: Manages corporate communication channels like Bursa announcements and press releases (especially for financial results and M&A updates).
