Summary

The Manufacturing Associate will be responsible for performing various activities to produce subassemblies, WIP products, and finished goods in support of engineering/R&D projects.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

  • Operates hand tools, or production equipment.
  • Assembles products or sub-assemblies according to verbal or written instructions, or by following drawings or diagrams.
  • Execute redline experimental requests (ERs) independently.
  • Complete and review associated documents.
  • Compile and report yield and rejection data on a regular basis.
  • Maintain product traceability and reject tracking.
  • Proficient with Agile.
  • Train new employees.
  • Able to work in multiple areas/production lines throughout the workday or work week without oversight from Trainer or other experienced Manufacturing Associates.
  • Provide feedback to supervisor and engineering teams.
  • Able to describe processes to cross-function visitors.
  • Follow and enforce GMP guidelines.
  • This position assumes and performs other duties as assigned.

The Associate Engineer, Manufacturing Process is responsible for designing, developing, deploying, and optimizing manufacturing processes to achieve quality, cost, and delivery goals for Celestica and its customers' products.

  • Assist the Manager in coordinating daily EC Management tasks using internal systems such as Citrix, Matrix, SAP, ODC, and customer systems like MY LAM and Gmox.
  • Maintain Monthly ECO Key Performance Indicators and Weekly EC release data.
  • Present at the Weekly ECN Con-Call for Johor Site to Customers/Site Coordinators, ensuring proper implementation of internal or external ECNs.
  • Monitor all phases of ECN implementation, from receiving requests, validating change impacts, confirming requirements with all functions, to gathering approvals before implementation.
  • Manage and ensure the accuracy of customer AML in SAP.
Detailed Description
  • Analyze customer changes for site impact for each Matrix EC release.
  • Decide on disposition tools for ECs based on customer change dispositions.
  • Monitor MM submissions for Halb and Fert items to ensure successful updates in the system.
  • Maintain input placement for all Planning Assembly releases based on Manufacturing Engineer decisions.
  • Chair weekly ECO meetings with customers.
  • Bridge matrix ECs based on depletion dates as per EC meeting decisions.
  • Verify the completeness and accuracy of EC bridging to SAP.
  • Check for I-Doc errors after EC bridging.
  • Maintain BOM routing and component allocation in SAP.
  • Refresh routing for each MIP release.
  • Troubleshoot system issues and liaise with IT support regarding BOM problems.
  • Study new project enhancements such as EC EtQ, Auto Sort String, etc.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by superiors.
  • Process internal and external ECN requests, coordinate activities, and interpret change requests.
  • Update SAP with BOM, AVL, new part numbers, and drawings.
  • Ensure 100% BOM accuracy.
  • Manage BOM effective dates in SAP in conjunction with planning.
  • Coordinate weekly CCB meetings with PDX site and daily meetings with the internal team.

Detailed Description

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

  • To analysis, the Customer Changes for site impact for every Matrix ECs release
  • To decide the disposition tools for ECs released base on Customer Disposition change
  • To monitor the MM submission for Halb and Fert items successful updated in the system
  • To Maintain the Input Placement for all Planning Assembly release base on-site Manufacturing Engineer decision
  • To chair weekly ECO Meeting by Customers
  • To bridge the matrix EC’s base on the depletion date as per EC meeting decision
  • To verify the completeness and accuracy of the EC’s bridging to SAP
  • To check I-Doc error after EC’s bridging if any
  • To maintain BOM routing and Component Allocation in SAP
  • To re-refresh, the routing for every MIP going to release
  • To troubleshoot and solve any system issue and liaise with IT Support on any problem regarding BOM issues
  • To study new project enhancement such as EC EtQ, Auto Sort string, and Auto
  • Comply with any additional assignment and when assigned by superior
  • Process all internal and external ECN requests. Coordinate activities with Work cell staff. Receive and interpret changes requested
  • Update SAP for BOM, AVL, new part numbers, and drawings
  • Maintain 100% BOM accuracy
  • Manage effectively dates for BOM in SAP in conjunction with planning
  • Coordinate weekly CCB meetings with the PDX site and daily CCB meetings with the internal team.
