About the Role

As an Agile Coach, you will be responsible for the adoption of Agile within AIA Malaysia, working with individuals, teams, departments, and the organization. Your role includes providing hands-on support, coaching, and mentoring; educating and supporting Agile adoption across all levels; teaching Agile processes; fostering cultural change and mindset shift; and continuously evolving strategies to meet organizational needs.

You should have a good understanding of the Agile product lifecycle, experience with methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban, XP, and the ability to recommend suitable tools and practices. You will also coach individuals and teams to succeed in Agile roles, and promote understanding and support organization-wide to empower Agile teams.

Strong communication, interpersonal skills, mentorship ability, and the capacity to inspire and motivate are essential. You must be comfortable working with all levels of staff, from ground level to senior management. You will assess needs, recommend practices, and provide training to facilitate Agile adoption.

Responsibilities include setting up Agile teams, facilitating ceremonies, creating product visions and backlogs, identifying risks, and fostering a collaborative environment. You will also develop strategies for organization-wide Agile adoption, ensuring sustainability and cultural integration.

Job Requirements:
  • Minimum 8-10 years of experience in Agile capabilities.
  • Certifications such as Scrum Master, Product Owner, Agile Leadership, or relevant experience with Scrum, Kanban, XP, or other Agile methodologies.
  • Scaled Agile SAFe certification or experience in scaling Agile organizations.
  • Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and experience with DevOps.
  • Experience in both Waterfall and Agile project lifecycles.
  • Proven coaching and presentation skills, including working with senior management.
  • One-to-one coaching experience and workshop facilitation skills.

About The Role

You will need to provide hands-on support, coaching and mentoring to individuals; work to educate and support the adoption of Agile across all levels and roles; teach Agile processes and embody and encourage cultural change and mindset shift; and continually assess and evolve approach and strategy to Agile adoption catered towards the organization’s needs.

You will need to have a good understanding of the Agile product lifecycle, as well as execution capability of Agile methodologies e.g. Scrum, Kanban, XP, and the ability to advise on the best fit and usage of tools depending on the product, team, or issue in question. You will have good understanding of, and the ability to coach individuals and teams to perform successfully in roles within Agile teams. You will also need to educate, coach and encourage understanding and support through the organization as a whole to empower the teams working within Agile to succeed.

You will require strong communication and interpersonal skills, teaching and mentorship capability, and the ability to inspire and motivate. You must be comfortable working with individuals at all levels, and across departments, inclusive of people at ground level as well as higher management levels. You will require strong assessment skills and be able to analyze, recommend and apply practices best suited for the situation or for the individuals in question.

Educating employees at all levels, inclusive of senior/managerial, and provide recommendations, approaches, processes or tools relevant to the individual or team in question. Provide training sessions and teach the skills and understanding required to bring the organization towards adoption of Agile methodologies.

Set up and guide teams to work within Agile and Lean principles, advising on creation of cadence, ceremonies, methodology, and processes. Facilitate team building activities, align teams with each other and with deliverables, map out accountable roles and responsibilities within Agile and reconcile this with the organization setup within AIA. Understand the project and the roles of the individuals within it, and ensure it is set up for transparency with inclusion and understanding from all levels including project sponsors and EXCO. Facilitate on-boarding and inception ceremonies, and work with the team to ensure creation of product vision, goals and backlog, and to identify risks and dependencies.

Observe team daily activities, facilitate, coach and advise on creation of priorities and value, recommend and demonstrate methods and tools to improve and address problems, in order to encourage better performance and product quality, and to increase team collaboration and self-organization.

Provide consistent feedback and coaching to the teams while collaborating with people across varying levels and roles across the organization in order to facilitate the understanding of, support for, and the creation of a receptive environment to Agile, and remove barriers to the teams.

Work towards the creation of a strategy for the adoption of Agile across AIA Malaysia on an organization-wide level, with clearly defined stages of adoption from the introduction of Agile, employee education, fostering teams and cultures, long term maintenance of Agile as a methodology and sustaining the cultural mindset within the organization.

Implementing Agile process, principles and practices across all levels within the organization, with focus on methods which increase collaboration and transparency, encourages a culture open to flexibility, allows experimentation and learning, and empowers teams to understand and believe in the product they are working on in order to ensure quality deliverables.

Job Requirements

  • Must have at least 8 - 10 years minimum experience in an Agile related capability.
  • Scrum Alliance certification as Scrum Master, Product Owner or Certified Agile Leadership and/or relevant experience within Scrum, Kanban, Extreme Programming (XP), the Lean development cycle, and/or other Agile methodologies.
  • Scaled Agile SAFe certification or experience in scaling organisations to Agile.
  • Knowledge of the software development lifecycle and ability to work with technical teams for implementation of DevOps.
  • Implementation of the project lifecycle in both Waterfall and Agile.
  • Experience in coaching and presenting to large and varied audiences.
  • Experience in handling top level management.
  • Experience in one-to-one coaching capability.
  • Ability to lead workshops and act as team facilitator.

Position Summary

The Agile PLM analyst will analyze issues and develop and implement solutions for the Teleflex organization as part of the Global Agile Support Team. This position is expected to be a primary contributor in issue resolution and proactive solution development.

Principal Responsibilities

  • System configuration, and maintenance of PLM systems.
  • Conduct meetings with users to determine their process requirements and support ongoing business needs.
  • Analyze, evaluate, and modify existing or proposed systems.
  • Apply technical knowledge to all phases of systems analysis and consider the business implications of the application to the current and future business environment.
  • Develop detailed system design documents to support system requirements and comply with Teleflex standards.
  • Conduct functional and/or technical reviews and walk-throughs of IT design documentation with the development and design team members.
  • Act as expert support on business processes in respective area of responsibility.
  • Evaluate, develop, test, and implement the release of system changes according to the Teleflex validation procedures.
  • Deliver consistently high-quality service and solutions that meet business requirements and ensure goals are accomplished in line with business objectives.
  • Track, monitor, review, and report project progress where appropriate (e.g. subsets of projects).
  • Recognize, analyze, and solve system or application problems as they are encountered.
  • Participate in projects and rollouts of the application (either as project lead or part-time contributor).
  • Share ideas, information, knowledge, and data proactively to accomplish collaboration for the success of the team, project, or task.


Education / Experience Requirements
