Overview

  • Acts as the strategic business interface for several accounts on a global basis.
  • Accountable for understanding the customer's overall strategy and direction in the 1-5 year timeframe.
  • Develops the strategies and tactics (including pricing strategies) which Celestica will use to win, protect and grow business with the customer.
  • Develops customer presentations and proposals.
  • Provides direction, guidance and support to the Sales and Operations teams in order to ensure alignment with the strategy and execution of the tactics developed for the account.
  • Conducts contract and agreement negotiations, including the development and execution of the negotiation mandate and strategy.
  • Ensures that all RFQ responses & proposals are complete, accurate, on-time & consistent with the overall account strategy.
  • Represents Celestica’s overall business interests.
  • Actively manages customer perceptions.

Role Overview

We are seeking an early to mid-career professional to join us as a Business Development and Sales Specialist. The main focus of this role is B2B sales, engaging companies, cooperatives, and agribusinesses in the oil palm sector. In addition, the specialist will help define and implement go-to-market strategies for both B2B and B2C, ensuring AGS’s products and services reach the right audiences effectively. This is a remote position requiring independence, accountability, and a proactive mindset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive B2B sales by building and managing relationships with corporate clients, cooperatives, and agribusinesses.
  • Identify and develop new opportunities to expand AGS’s client base in Malaysia.
  • Contribute to defining and executing go-to-market strategies for both B2B and B2C.
  • Support the design and execution of marketing campaigns to promote AGS e-products across both segments.
  • Conduct presentations, demos, and negotiations with B2B clients.
  • Track sales performance, prepare reports, and provide market feedback.
  • Work closely with AGS leadership to align sales and marketing activities with business objectives.
  • Monitor market developments and competitor activities in the oil palm sector.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Experience in sales or business development, ideally with digital or e-products.
  • Strong record of B2B sales success.
  • Communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Independent, proactive, and able to work remotely with accountability for results.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing tools and outreach methods is an advantage.
  • Knowledge of agriculture or oil palm farming is preferred but not required.
