The Senior Content Developer, drawing on advanced legal expertise and specialized knowledge in regulatory frameworks, supports the Compliance Content Operations team by meticulously crafting authoritative and comprehensive environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulatory content for advanced legal compliance software solutions that enable sophisticated global risk management and regulatory tracking.
This senior role involves taking responsibility for assigned content segments, researching legislative changes across 70+ international jurisdictions, translating complex legal and regulatory content into plain English summaries and compliance checklists, and championing the use of artificial intelligence tools while providing quality oversight and mentorship to junior team members.
Responsibilities:- Own assigned regulatory content segments , ensuring full coverage of environmental, health, and safety (EHS) legislation.
- Monitor and research global legislative changes , maintain workflow trackers, and oversee the content pipeline.
- Create and maintain accurate written content by summarizing EHS laws per internal standards for customer compliance.
- Develop and update compliance checklists consolidating obligations for specific regulatory areas (e.g., accident reporting, emissions, waste).
- Translate complex legal and technical material into plain English , ensuring clarity, precision, and completeness.
- Apply sophisticated legal hermeneutics and analytical methodologies to interpret complex legislation, systematically extract critical legal obligations, and make strategic content decisions aligned with regulatory compliance standards.
- Lead AI integration in workflows , including prompt development, training associates, evaluating performance, and setting quality benchmarks.
- Ensure quality and consistency through content reviews, mentoring junior team members, managing queries, and supporting team operations.
- Law degree (LLB or equivalent) is mandatory, with 25 years of specialized legal experience in regulatory compliance, substantive legal research, environmental and occupational health law, governance and risk compliance (GRC), legal journalism, regulatory auditing, or closely related legal domains.
- Exceptional research, drafting, reviewing, and proofreading skills , with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- High-level English proficiency in written and verbal communication, plus ability to translate complex legal/regulatory material into clear language.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills , including comprehension of complex legislation and regulatory frameworks; knowledge of legal terminology is preferred.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities , capable of managing multiple jurisdictions and deadlines independently or collaboratively across global teams.
- Tech-savvy , with proficiency in tools like Microsoft Office, JIRA, Confluence, and ability to quickly learn new systems.
- Proven experience with AI tools for content development, including optimizing workflows, training others, and applying best practices.
- Preferred experience in mentoring junior team members , and ability to thrive in an agile, fast-paced environment.

Reporting to the Global Head of Legislation, as part of Global Editorial Operations (GEO), the Global Legislation AI Content Optimisation Lead drives AI-first transformation for legislative content across Global Editorial Operations. The role defines and implements the strategy for AI-assisted content creation, quality enhancement, workflow optimisation, and efficiency at scale as well as leading the increase of AI-efficiencies in everyday tasks across the group. Working across North America, UK, Asia-Pacific and other key markets, the Lead partners closely with Product, Technology, Editorial people leaders and business stakeholders to embed advanced AI capabilities into editorial processes, ensuring content is accurate, compliant, consistent, AI-ready and aligned with LexisNexis' digital first ambitions.
Responsibilities
+ Define and deliver the global AI content optimisation strategy for legislative and regulatory content, ensuring alignment with editorial, product and technology transformation priorities
+ Lead global ideation, requirements gathering and prioritisation cross the group for AI-enabled content generation, summarisation, enrichment, classification and structural optimisation, making recommendations as to cost, benefits, and implementation to the Global Head of Legislation
+ Partner with cross-functional teams including product management, engineering, editorial managers and project management to translate ideas into scalable roadmap deliverables
+ Oversee the design, testing and global deployment of AI-driven editorial tools and workflows, ensuring seamless integration with existing technologies and platforms
+ Develop and maintain global standards and guidelines for AI-generated or AI-optimised legislative content, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and copyright alignment
+ Champion AI-first editorial practices, helping teams adopt new tooling, improve editorial decision-making and reduce manual work through automation
