Full Job Description

  • Plan and organize tasks for team members, monitor tasks’ progress and take  necessary action to clear roadblocks for team members to guarantee timely support/project delivery.
  • Perform feasibility study and involve specialists from different areas to do so if deficient in the required knowledge.
  • Assess and provide the workload required.
  • Supervise and guide team members on each issue or enhancement.
  • Review the work done by team members or delegate to technical advisor to assist on source code and patch preparation review.
  • Ensure risk assessment, software test and validation are completed before deployment on machine.
  • Review software FMEA prepared by team members.
  • Follow up with preventive actions for past quality issues.
  • Handle escalation from manufacturing floor and field.
  • Identify training needs for team members and arrange complementary training to fill the gap.
  • Work closely with and to back up Software Engineering Manager when necessary.
  • Any other ad-hoc assignments within the scope of main objectives.

Requirements
  • Professional engineering bachelor’s degree and certifications in Engineering  (Electrical/Electronic/Computer/Software/Mechatronics/Robotics), Computer Science, Project Management or equivalent.
  • Required skill(s): Good background in C, C++, Python, VB.NET or C# programming languages.
  • Minimum 4 years experienced in semiconductor/machine automation industry.
  • A strong team player.
  • Good statistical and technical writing abilities.
  • Effective presentation and communication skills that inspire trust and influence cooperation
  • Hardworking and able to handle projects under high pressure.
  • Strong commitment to learning and continuous improvement, with continuous improvement mindset
  • Strong ethics, diplomatic, patience, good listening skills and can interact with a diverse group of individuals.
  • Sharp problem-solving skills, creative, innovative, out of the box problem solving skills.
  • High sense of urgency for task assigned.
  • Leadership and management experience are an advantage.
  • Knowledge in developing tools to increase work efficiency would be an advantage
