As a Site IT Manager supporting Information Technology , you will be responsible to represent IT to the Johor MTO business ensuring that expectations for IT services are met at Johor, Malaysia . In addition, you will be responsible to ensure cost effective, compliant, performant and stable service operations for all local and global services as being consumed at Johor MTO as well as drive customer satisfaction improvements around Alcon IT services through local initiatives. You need to capture, qualify and help prioritize new IT demand and lead the delivery of projects for the business, from initiation to operational handover, aligning with COEs and other BEFs where needed.

In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Act as primary point of accountability for IT matters for Johor MTO
  • Develop and enhance relationships with key stakeholders, actively manage their expectations and monitor satisfaction levels.
  • Oversee the IT service portfolio for the capability area.
  • Ensure all end-user requirements for IT services are documented through Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Ensure SLAs are met for all IT services.
  • Manage the collection of customer feedback and identify optimization areas.
  • Identify and manage risks in relation to IT Services underpinning business processes.
  • Identify and qualify new demand with overall responsibility for steering proposals through the early phases of approval.
  • Lead initiatives to identify opportunities, gather high level requirements, perform high level technology impact analysis, and work directly with customer teams to identify and develop business cases, and obtain sponsorship.
  • Provide input on demand requirements for the creation and maintenance of overall IT strategy.
  • Ensure IT investments and services for customer group are aligned with business requirements and IT strategy.
  • Ensure the overall user experience is taken into account when designing and deploying new solutions and services.
  • Direct the delivery of projects through active sponsorship, leadership and involvement to ensure they meet time, cost and quality requirements and business needs.
  • Provide leadership and decision making support by establishing project governance and ensure the effective overall use of resources to meet business objectives.
  • Proactively share knowledge of technology risks and opportunities to build competitive advantage.
  • Ensure investment are leveraged by establishing a solid governance model leveraging solutions (build once; use often).
  • Drive adoption of global solutions.
  • Take accountability to ensure adherence with Security and Compliance policies and procedures within Service Delivery scope.
  • Accountable for compliance of the site to Alcon's global ACM, BCM & business compliance processes.
  • Ensure internal controls per CLC, AFCM, Alcon/Site/Finance SOPs, policies and guidelines.
  • Responsible to manage local site IT budget within agreed targets.
  • Work with relevant service delivery teams to ensure systems being used at the site are performant and stable from a service operations point of view.
  • Ensure compliance with internal standards framework, Quality SOPs, etc., as well as and external regulatory standards (FDA, GxP, SOX, IT Compliance).
  • Ensure validated state for GxP systems is maintained.
  • Drive continuous improvement of IT processes and systems to meet site requirement.
  • Ensures IT systems and infrastructure is able to support the site business continuity requirement.
  • Manage the local IT team and ensure that they deliver their job role.
  • Develop the local IT team to perform the IT responsibilities necessary to assure stable, efficient and compliant business applications and infrastructure for site operations.
  • Manage any ad hoc projects / activities as and when assigned.
  • Adherence to Alcon values and standards, to observe and ensure full compliance with Alcon Code of Business Conducts.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

  • Bachelors Degree or Masters in Information Technology, Computers or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a lead/managerial role
  • Strong in budgeting and IT inventory
  • Experienced in manufacturing environment
