Key Responsibilities

  • Monitoring all Purchase Requisition receive from marketing and request for quotation and place order.
  • To prepare the cost comparison, select and negotiate for best package with supplier.
  • Ensure all the purchase in right source, quality, quantity, delivery & price.
  • For oversea purchases, purchasing executive is to fully handle purchasing activities with supplier and forwarder for import shipment clearance.
  • Source for alternative items in terms of cost saving purposes and better T&C.
  • Monitoring and maintain the inventory with planned at optimum level.
  • Monitoring and assess raw material & packaging market trend, pricing and material availabilities.
  • Ensure compliance to ISO food safety management and according to standard operating procedures.
  • Develop, manage and maintain supplier relationship and performance.
  • Liaise on materials reject return with suppliers, QA and material department.
  • Prepare monthly cost saving report & monthly usage report (import items).
  • Work closely with material department to avoid supply disruption.
  • Carry out the additional duties and responsibilities as instructed by superior from time to time.


Job Requirements

  • Preferably minimum Diploma / Degree in material or inventory management or any similar field.
  • Preferably with 3 years working experience in the purchasing area, will be added advantages with experience in food industry.
  • Fresh graduate are encouraged to apply as well.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Possess good interpersonal and negotiation skills.
  • Responsible on own tasks and get back to leader from time to time.
  • Quick leaner, independent, proactive and can adapt to new environment
  • Required language (s) : English, Mandarin, and Bahasa Malaysia.
