Job Responsibilities:

A prestigious leader in luxury goods brands and manufacturing, boasting factories across Spain, Tunisia, and Mauritius, and headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, we are embarking on an expansion into Johor, Malaysia, to enhance our presence in the Asian market. Our forthcoming factory will be a state-of-the-art facility, leveraging advanced mechanisation techniques, and focusing on light industry while upholding our hallmark standards of unparalleled quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, build, and lead a high-performing team consisting of administrative staff, technicians, and production workers.
  • Oversee the setup, installation, and commissioning of all machinery and equipment, ensuring seamless and efficient operations.
  • Develop and implement SOPs for production processes to ensure adherence to quality and productivity targets.
  • Manage and mentor trainees, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Lead the startup phase of production, including setting up production lines, scheduling, and resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with the Chief Operating Officer (COO) and senior management to align factory operations with company goals and objectives.
  • Monitor and analyse key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and standards.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in manufacturing operations management, with a preference for leadership roles.
  • Proven track record of successfully building and managing teams in a highly mechanised and quality-driven manufacturing environment.
  • Strong technical knowledge of production processes and machinery setup.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
