Full Job Description

Job Description/Responsibility: This incumbent will assist Head – Support Department in Developing, Managing and Implementing Barium Selat Group's ('BSE Group') corporate communications, strategy, branding, and marketing management to create awareness, secure buy-in and strategic positioning of the Company and its initiatives in achieving the desired outcomes. These include:
Identifying and capitalising on opportunities to promote and positively represent BSE Group and its efforts through efficient internal and external communication activities. Responsible for day-to-day operations, including digital marketing, content marketing, creative development/design of marketing materials, data mining, write-up and monitoring. Maintain and manage all BSE Group's communication channels, including website, social media platforms, newsletter, poster, presentation and reports. Assist with ongoing development and production of all branded materials briefing (e.g. display stands, banners, giveaways, company profile, company booklet, new joiner kit items and more) and managing third-party designers, printers, media and photographers. Preparing a variety of materials, such as news releases, key messages, talking points, and more for the Senior Management. Provide advisory services to BSE Group on appropriate communication solutions i.e. key messages/tagline, target audience, communication approach, communication medium and more.  Proofreads and edits corporate communications content to ensure strict conformance to the Corporate Brand and Standards of editorial policy, procedure, tone, accuracy and style. Provide creative and editorial ideas for the development of promotional materials. Propose and implement media and PR solutions to ensure key policies and initiatives are effectively communicated to the target stakeholders in a consistent, timely and credible manner. Perform intelligence gathering and environmental scanning for accurate, credible and timely information/news as an input to develop proactive communication strategies as well as ensure legal, corporate, and regulatory compliance.  Assist in organising all Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects/initiatives and also any Corporate Events undertaken by BSE Group. Collaborate with Head- Support Department in implementing and executing Support Department strategies through offline and online activities while ensuring teamwork and delivering high quality work. Other duties and tasks assigned by the immediate Line Manager.  Job Qualifications and Education Requirements: Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree, Masters in Marketing, Advertising/Media, Art/Design/Creative Multimedia, Mass Communications, Public Relations, English Language/English Literature or equivalent. Excellent command of spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia (additional languages an advantage). At least 2 - 3 year(s) of working experience in Corporate Communications and related fields. Minimum 1 year's relevance working experience in creating content for social media or any relevant platforms. Proficient in Adobe CS such as Photoshop, Illustrator, Indesign, Micromedia Dream Weaver and Flash. Familiar with HTML 5 and ability to manipulate Wordpress, Joomla, Drupal, 3D software and other open-source CMS will be an added advantage. Familiarity with Microsoft Office and B2B/B2C advertising campaigns. Knowledge of SEO tools such as Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and more. Other Requirements: Excellent analytical, writing and presentation skills e.g. visual communication to present ideas and information in a multimedia context. Strong customer service orientation, meticulous, organised, proactive self-initiative, takes pride in quality work, a sense of accountability and urgency. Thinking creatively to produce new ideas/concepts and keep-up-to-date with latest market trends. Pleasant and having good interpersonal skills. Possesses own transport, willing to travel for outstation purposes; and work for late hours or weekend events.
