Full Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including clients, project managers, and other team members to understand project requirements.
  • Develop project design plans, including scope, schedule, and resource allocation.
  • Oversee, review, and manage third party Interior Design Consultants through Schematics, Design Development, and Installation of Amenities' Spaces
  • Lead and supervise a team of designers, ensuring they produce high-quality, innovative, and functional designs.
  • Review and approve design concepts, drawings, and models for accuracy, compliance with regulations, and adherence to project requirements.
  • Implement quality control processes to verify that design outputs meet established standards, codes, and specifications.
  • Conduct regular design reviews and audits to identify and address any issues or deviations.
  • Manage the budget allocated for design activities, ensuring efficient resource allocation and cost-effective practices.
  • Monitor expenses related to design, identifying opportunities for cost savings or optimization.
  • Forecast potential design-related risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on project timelines and budgets.
  • Keep updated on the industry best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to ensure compliance.
  • Mentor and coach team members to enhance their skills and capabilities in design-related tasks.
  • Identify training needs and facilitate professional development opportunities for the design team.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of design-related activities, including specifications, drawings, models, and correspondence.
  • Prepare regular progress reports and status updates for projects.
  • Performs other related duties/ tasks as assigned by superior/ management.

Requirements:

  • Must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Architecture/ Design or other related disciplines.
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in the related field with managerial involvement.
  • Experience working in reputable organizations is preferred.
  • Proficiency in design software and tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.)
  • Must provide portfolio of completed design projects (Attach resume/ CV included with portfolio (Link/ QR Code)
  • Knowledge of industry-specific regulations, codes, and standards.
  • Having project management certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is an added advantage.
  • Familiar with Building Information Modeling (BIM) or other advanced design technologies.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, problem-solving, interpersonal, and time-management skills.
  • A valuable team player and able to work independently.
  • Strong knowledge of construction management is required.
  • Computer literate with good command of both written and spoken English and Malay.
  • Confident, proactive, able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Possess own transport and willing to travel.
