JOB DESCRIPTION
The IT Executive (Operations Systems and Network AV) is to support,
monitor and maintain IT based operational, AV, network and computer
based systems of the school. This will include installation,
configuration and monitoring of computer systems, diagnosis of
hardware or software faults and solving of technical issues. You will
have organisational and administrative responsibility including record
keeping, filing and liaising with vendors for maintenance of computing
equipment and IT services.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide technical support to users for computer, AV, reprographic and networks systems
- Install, configure and deploy computer systems
- Administer, monitor and maintain computer systems, monitoring systems, AV systems and handle basic networking issues
- Provide expert technical knowledge and support for physical networking, environmental monitoring, power management, network AV, digital signage, security camera, security access systems and other operations based systems
- Assist with the management of users across all Information Systems
- Provide training to users in the usage of IT systems specifically but not exclusively for those used for operations systems and networked AV
- Provide user support and technical issue resolution via email, phone and other electronic medium
- Ensure all the assigned incidents are handled properly and timely
- Contribute to the development of internal processes and systems
- Create and update IT documentation
- Conduct general office duties
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Minimum high-school (twelve formal years of education) qualification
- Bachelor degree qualification in computing, engineering or IT related discipline is preferred
- At least two years of relevant working experience
- Experience with Crestron Networked AV, C-Cure 9000 Security & Event Management System, Milestone XProtect Security Video Management System and other facility type operations applications will be an advantage.
- Excellent observational and organisational skills, an eye for details and the ability to focus on a multi-layered problem
- Excellent communication skills
- Previous experience
within the education sector will also be an advantage.
