Full Job Description

Leadership and Strategic Planning:

  • Crafting and executing strategic plans to realize company objectives and foster sustainable growth.
  • Identifying market trends, competitive threats, expansion opportunities, and areas for enhancement while monitoring progress towards sustainability targets.
  • Staying abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and recycling best practices to continuously elevate recycling initiatives.

Operations Management:

  • Directing all operational functions encompassing waste collection, processing, recycling, and disposal.
  • Updating and enforcing recycling policies and procedures to align with regulatory changes and industry standards.
  • Ensuring adherence to regulatory mandates, safety protocols, and environmental guidelines.
  • Streamlining operational workflows to boost efficiency, curtail costs, and enhance overall operational efficacy.
  • Collaborating with external partners like waste haulers, recycling facilities, and equipment suppliers to optimize recycling operations.

Financial Management:

  • Crafting and overseeing annual budgets, forecasts, and financial strategies to meet profitability objectives.
  • Monitoring financial performance, scrutinizing variances, and implementing corrective measures when necessary.
  • Identifying avenues for revenue enhancement and cost reduction through strategic investments and operational enhancements.

Customer Relationship Management:

  • Nurturing enduring relationships with key customers, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Addressing customer inquiries, grievances, and feedback to ensure maximum satisfaction.
  • Collaborating with sales and marketing teams to pinpoint new business prospects and expand market reach.

Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance:

  • Advocating a safety-centric culture and ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Establishing and sustaining robust safety protocols, training initiatives, and emergency response plans.
  • Spearheading efforts to minimize environmental impact, diminish waste generation, and champion sustainable practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Environmental Science, Waste Management, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated expertise with over a decade of senior management experience in recycling, waste management, or environmental services.
  • Proven leadership acumen evidenced by a track record of driving operational excellence and achieving organizational objectives.
  • Profound understanding of waste management regulations, environmental compliance, and industry best practices.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal proficiencies.
  • Proficiency in financial analysis, budget formulation, and strategic planning.
  • Proven ability to cultivate and sustain relationships with clients, suppliers, and regulatory bodies.
  • Commitment to safety, sustainability, and corporate social responsibility initiatives.
