Full Job Description

Job Purpose

  • Migration of SQL Servers
  • General support for :-
  1. New applications.
  2. Applications during migration (Also from other DBMS).
  3. Servers being installed and still under build.

Key Activities

  • Planning, provision and support of databases based on Windows platforms
  • Monitoring, maintenance and optimization of existing databases
  • Selection, creation, testing and support of tools for controlling the databases
  • Analysis and elimination of errors in the database area
  • Quality assurance of DB stocks
  • Programming of batch runs and process scripts
  • Technical support for application developers (sequence reliability, standards, data flow...)
  • Carrying out space management for the databases
  • Analysis and reorganization of databases
  • Implementation of changes and releases in the database area
  • Develop and establish data backup and restore procedures for databases
  • Planning and developing disaster backup solutions

Qualifications/Skills

Professional Skills (technical, methodology and business):

  • Comprehensive experience in the area of ââprogramming languages ââand development tools
  • Expert in application infrastructure
  • Expert in MSSQL databases
  • Experience in software architecture
  • Experience in the area of ââoperational architecture
  • Experience in software methodology, processes and quality assurance
  • Secure application of knowledge in the area of ââIT security
