Job Description:

• Work closely with the Finance team to understand the current reporting and reconciliation processes. Build automation solutions to streamline data collection, reporting, and reconciliation processes to drive efficiency.
• Collaborate with the finance team to understand their data needs and requirements, and provide data-driven insights to support strategic decision-making.
• Develop and maintain automated workflows and scripts to reduce manual intervention and improve efficiency in financial data management.
• Collect, clean, and preprocess large volume of financial data from various sources to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Perform exploratory data analysis on identified anomalies and financial trends.
• Conduct regular checks and validations of financial data to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and financial requirements.
• Identify areas for process improvement within the finance department and recommend solutions to enhance productivity and accuracy.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to integrate financial data into business intelligence systems and tools.
• Manage stakeholders' needs, concerns and problems regarding changes, enhancements or fixes
• Troubleshoot system-related issues through essential communication, walkthrough, analysis and testing
• Perform a bridging role between the finance and data science team.
• Think strategically and analytically about business, product and technical challenges.
• Ensure the deliverables are delivered in time with the highest level of accuracy.
• Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging technologies in financial data analysis and automation.
• Other ad-hoc projects as assigned from time to time across all entities within Malaysia.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Business Analytics.
• Knowledge of SQL is a must experience dealing with database is an advantage
• Robust data analytics and/or visualization skills, preferably with Python and/or Microsoft Power BI
• Min 2 years of relevant experience.
• Effective team player and passion to serve.
• Versatile and results-oriented in a fast pace environment.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem solving.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and project management skills.
• Keen sense of ownership, drive and determination.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision, dependable and with a strong work ethic.
