The **Fraud Operations Analyst** (C09) plays a crucial role in supporting fraud risk management for Consumer Cards & Banking operations across multiple regions. This position is responsible for conducting advanced fraud reviews, leveraging system insights, and applying industry best practices to minimize fraud losses. The analyst ensures accurate decision-making through rigorous risk-reward evaluations and contributes to the overall integrity of fraud prevention strategies.
**In this role, you're expected to** :
+ Monitor transactions, accounts, and customer activities for suspicious behavior generated by fraud detection systems
+ Proactively analyze fraud trends using daily production analysis reports and Association Alerts to identify and respond to emerging fraud patterns.
+ Conduct in-depth fraud case reviews, meticulously evaluating evidence to determine appropriate risk actions and mitigation strategies.
+ Promptly validate and address Two-Way SMS/Email exception cases to minimize potential exposure and ensure timely resolution.
+ Participate in the preparation of monthly fraud Management Information Systems reports and assist in tracking Key Performance Indicators.
+ Support Association Alerts review and contribute to the development of proactive card replacement strategies based on fraud ratio thresholds.
+ Update daily production analysis trackers and reconcile data with Fraud Declaration Forms to ensure accuracy and consistency.
+ Assist with the review of Transactions on Blocked Accounts and address potential risks.
**As a successful candidate, you'd ideally have the following skills and exposure:**
+ Minimum 1 year of relevant working experience in banking and financial services
+ Exposure to consumer cards or banking operations a plus
+ BS/BA degree or equivalent combination of education/experience
+ Fraud knowledge, Familiarity with general fraud concepts
+ Good communication, (both written and oral,) and interpersonal skills
+ Able to work on flexible shift. 24/7 shifting schedule. Expected to work on holidays and weekends
+ Strong work ethic and energy levels
+ Proficiency in Arabic would be an added advantage.

+ **Change Management:** Experience as a Business Analyst in a Change Management unit or in operational improvements (e.g., Lean, reengineering programs).
+ **SDLC & Testing:** Experience with the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and testing phases (UAT, functional, regression).
+ **Skills:**
+ **Analytical & Problem-Solving:** In-depth analytical skills, able to work and manipulate data sets, draw conclusions, create reports, and perform root cause analysis. Excellent problem-solving ability and good business judgment.
+ **Communication:** Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate requirements and communicate with a wide audience, displaying professionalism at all times.

Ensure the team is equipped to handle the complexities associated with OTC instrument pricing, valuation, and lifecycle events.

**As a successful candidate, you'd ideally have the following skills and exposure:**

As part of the Internal Fraud Analytics, this role executes the fraud analytics and strategies supporting Citi's North American internal fraud detection. This includes leveraging data to identify internal fraud opportunities, designing and implementing strategies to detect internal fraud and violation of code conduct.
This role partners closely with Internal Fraud Operations, Prevention team and technology partners to align of business and technology direction in order to determine potential and existing internal fraud impacts and carry out whole cycle of implementation. **Responsibilities:**
+ Lead design, develop, implement, and support new and existing complex rule logic based on understanding of data and fraud scenario.
+ Leverage data and advanced analytics to derive patterns, trends and insights, and perform risk/reward trade-off analysis.
+ Support the timely and accurate delivery of sandbox implementation and simulation of all detective routines, as well as following up with regional technology development and support team on the testing and deployment of the routines in Production environment.
+ Keep gaining domain and data knowledge.
+ Generate and manage regular and ad-hoc reporting to enable effective investigation and identification of detection possibilities.
+ Develop technology documentation to support production deployments as well as ongoing maintenance of reporting and data solutions.

**Qualifications:**

**Experience:**
+ Substantive hands-on coding experience in a big data environment. Solid SQL and Python skills are required. PySpark experience is valued.
+ Excellent exploratory analytic skills: hands-on data validation skills and business analysis acumen to derive patterns and insights and perform risk/reward trade-off analysis.
